I think my boyfriend is going to be really happy to hear this. He's a huge fan of the original. Can't wait to tell him :]

I love the original film. I'll see this since Raimi is involved. Would be cool if the original cast had cameos.

Blasphemy! NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop making remakes of movies that don't need to be remade.

Theyve got to fit Bruce in somewhere - wouldnt be the same without him.

It's not so bad as Raimi is directing again. I would love Bruce Campbell to make a cameo. The filmed scared the hell out of me as a kid but watching it as an adult I can now see the humour in it. Oh and I'm no longer scared….
We all know Raimi and Campbell have a great relationship so if he can incorporate him as well as he did in the Spiderman movies to me that's worth the ticket price alone.

Re: VegasSchmegas – To be fair, the sequel to the first was effectively just a reboot and it was tons of gory, scary fun. I was hesitant about this project first as well but the more I think about it the more I'm on board. Love me some Raimi, love me some Evil Dead–formulaic genre throwbacks are, in my opinion, more refreshing and fun than some of the garbage in cinemas today.

Federico Alvarez is directing because of Raimi's Oz obligations, but Raimi's supervising–at least that's something.

oh for fuck sakes! I am tired of remakes…especially on films that do NOT need them. Leave the originals alone and start looking elsewhere for some new ideas!

    No.
    This is sh!t.
Nothing will be as good as the original.
I'd like some NEW material please.

Well, this just ruined my day. That's like da Vinci repainting La Gioconda. Let it remain perfectly flawed.

What's wrong with letting the original stand, why does hollywood have an obsessive need to remake every film that ever did well financially or attained a following? Are there no ideas floating around out there for original screenplays?

Oh, man. Conan the Barbarian, The Thing and now this. Kiss creativity goodbye. It's now official. Everyone is mentally challenged and eats their own poop for breakfast.

I'm starting to believe Hollywood has simply become lazy as hell. The fact that Raimi, who made the original is doing the remake is only slightly intriguing, & only at first. The fact of the matter is a remake is still a remake, & in almost ALL cases that means a massacre of the original. Why do a remake? Why not just make another part to the trilogy? Something completely new & fresh? Or here's a thought, just pump out an entirely new film altogether? Why has that become so hard for film makers? We know there are new ideas out there. Foreign films have shown me that I haven't seen everything yet, but then hollywood catches on to that & simply would rather remake THOSE movies into american versions instead of again coming up with something NEW.

THEY BETTER HAVE BRUCE CAMPBELL IN THIS REMAKE!!!!!

  15. 15

    Why!??????

Seriously let the original stay as it is.

  16. 16

Why can't they just stop remaking movies and actually come up with an origanal idea? Leave classics alone….

Actually, Federico Alvarez, an Uruguayan director is directing this remake
