new harry potter movie grosses lots of money overseas

A-MAZING!

Earlier this week, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 was ALREADY breaking lots of records, and it looks like it's going to break even more!

On just its first day of release, the Potter film grossed $43.6 million after opening in 26 different countries! To put things into perspective, that's 82% ahead of the last Potter film, and 49% ahead of Half-Blood Prince! WOWSA!

Should be exciting to see how many more records Harry breaks at the box office! We have a feeling it's going to be A LOT!

Have U seen Deathly Hallows: Part 2 yet? Will U check it out this weekend?

Perez thats not overseas. That was last night's box office open in the US.

Friday Update: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 decimated the midnight opening record last night, raking in $43.5 million at 3,800 locations. That alone would equal the 13th highest-grossing opening day ever. The previous midnight record holder was The Twilight Saga: Eclipse with $30 million at around 4,000 locations, followed by The Twilight Saga: New Moon with $26.3 million at 3,514 locations. The last Potter, Deathly Hallows Part 1, conjured a $24 million midnight start at 3,700 locations, while Half-Blood Prince logged $22.2 million at 3,003 locations and The Dark Knight nabbed $18.5 million at 3,040 locations. Deathly Hallows Part 2 more than quadrupled 2011's previous midnight best The Hangover Part II, which drew $10.4 million at 2,600 locations.

Not surprised, and it really was awesome. Just really sad that we wont have any more HP movies to look forward to, I'm almost as sad as now as I was when the books ended.

The midnight premiere was PACKED. It was pretty cool seeing everyone getting out of the theater at the same time and there's like 100s of people dressed up like wizards. But they movie was pretty awesome.

I just saw this move….It is soooo good and worth the wait. I loved it a lot of my fav parts from the book are in the movie but there were a couple I wished they had put in. But, oh well. Still very good and sad…I canNOT believe that this is it for HP. Iwent to an afternoon show and I don't think anyone went to work today. It was packed…

Perez Hilton is right on this. Harry Potter did make $43.6 million (I know that it made $43.5 million at midnight releases) overseas on the first foreign day. There were 26 different countries where the movie was released a day before (Wednesday). I'm sure some of you are feeling really stupid.
