Artie Lange, who hasn't been on The Howard Stern show for a while now, has been apparently saying he'd do anything to get his job back — yet, he hasn't approached Howard and just asked.
Howard briefly discussed Artie on the Stern show this morning — claiming, "Artie had said he wishes he was back on the show … [which] stirred up a whole bunch of conversation that I don't even know how to begin to address."
When Robin asked if Artie ever personally approached Howard to ask for his job back, Howard replied, "No, but I think he would if he could get a hold of me."
Howard then went on to talk about the prospect of Artie getting his own radio show:
"Of course I support it. I think it would be great. I'd like to listen to Artie."
Howard adds, "I'm glad to hear that he's feeling better … I'm really pulling for him. I hope he does okay."
For those of you who don't know, Artie had a very sad, and very brutal suicide attempt in 2010. He's just recently gotten back out to do some stand up and make an appearance on the radio.
We agree with Howard — we're glad to hear he's feeling better, and we hope that he's okay! He's a funny guy, and it'd be a shame to lose him.
