Robert Shia Thriller

Voltage Pictures and Wildwood Enterprises have announced the stars of The Company You Keep: Shia LaBeouf and Robert Redford.

Written by Lem Dobbs, the political thriller tells the tale of an FBI fugitive and ex Weather Underground militant (Redford) who is forced to go on the run after an ambitious reporter (LaBeouf) exposes his true identity.

Voltage producer Nicolas Chartier is very enthusiastic about the project, stating:

This is an edge-of-your-seat thriller about real Americans who stood for their beliefs, thinking they were patriots and defending their country's ideals against their government. It is absolutely amazing to have Shia LaBeouf, arguably the brightest young star in Hollywood today paired with the global icon Robert Redford.

The project is set to begin filming in September.

If Shia and Rob are a part of it, count us in!

Shia Labeouf's popularity is astounding… he gets cast in all these big busget movies… and as soon as I see his name attached to a project… IT'S A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.
I am so not interested in anything he does, and I would not pay a dime to see a movie he's in.

I agree, Shia doesn't seem to understand what he gets is an honor! He better not say this movie is crap because he gets to work with ROBERT REDFORD! It is my DREAM to work with Robert Redford! He is an amazing actor! Redford is the only reason I am going to see this movie.

I agree with "New Jersey Dude." Shia can't act. Besides that, he's not leading man material in any way, shape or form. Did he have to suck off Rupert Murdoch to get this far or what?

I think SLabeouf he is hot - and very suitable to work with "seasoned" stars such as RRedford or HFord.

Re: New Jersey DudeRe: OscarTheGrouch – I'm sure your opinion will break Shia's career, and that your refusing to see his movies is going to keep them from becoming blockbusters—- Oh, wait, Shia's STILL working with some of the best directors in Hollywood, his talent keeps getting him roles, and his last movie has done AMAZING. Shia doesn't need to "look" like a leading man, his talent and humor is enough.
I'll patiently wait for him in The Wettest County in the World, and hopefully after Transformers he'll be getting more serious roles. This movie with Redford sounds like a good beginning!
