Uh-oh! Things are getting ugly behind the scenes!
Michael Novick, a producer on Glee, has filed a lawsuit against Ian Brennan which claims that the series co-creator didn't honor an agreement they made during the series' initial development!
According to Novick, he and Brennan developed the concept for the series originally as a movie. They brought the project to Ryan Murphy, who thought that it would work better as a TV show, and pitched the idea to Fox. When negotiations stalled, Brennan reportedly then promised his partner that in exchange for accepting a lesser credit and paycheck, he would make sure Novick got 15% of any back-end compensation he would receive!
Well, obviously, that must not have gone as planned! Eek!
Sounds like there might have been some verbal agreements made that may have been overlooked! It will be certainly inneresting to see what comes of all of this!
Here's hoping this can get resolved as amicably as possible!
What do U think?? Team Novick or Team Brennan?
