Amber Riley, Jane Lynch, And Mark Salling Respond To Upcoming Glee Cast Changes!

| Filed under: TV NewsGleeLea MicheleJane LynchCory MonteithChris Colfer

It's about time!

We've been wondering how the rest of the cast felt about all this!

In light of the news that Glee stars Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, and Cory Monteith were all getting cut from the smash FOX series when their characters graduate from high school at the end of season three, their co-stars Amber Riley, Mark Salling, and Jane Lynch have all responded to the shocking development - and they're all a little more than understanding!

Amber explains:

“I think everyone’s pretty OK with it – we’ve had an amazing two seasons [and] we’re about to do Season 3. It’s been absolutely amazing, but I don’t want to be a 30-year-old high school student either! ‘Glee’ was just a great catapult for us. Nobody knew who we were and we’ll always be thankful for it. It’s just been an amazing blessing. I think they’re fine with it. I don’t think it’s the end of the world for them.”

And Lynch agrees:

"[Creator Ryan Murphy] rarely makes bad calls. But I think it's kind of cool that they will graduate. And I also think it's kind of cool that the teachers get to stay."

Mark concludes:

"I'm just grateful to be there and have a job and be around as long as they need me to be and want me."

Granted, we didn't expect them to pull a Heigl and lash out at the show's creators by complaining about the decision! We're sure at this point they're all desperate to ensure that come season four, they'll be sticking around!

What do U think?? Are U bummed to say goodbye to three of your favorite Gleeks?

They had to be cut soon - some of them must be pushing 30. Pretty old for high school kids. I don't think the show has much more legs anyway - a couple of years maybe. It feels like it's in a rut and on the slide. Too much stunt casting & too many tribute shows.

Shouldn't Mark Salling graduate too? Isn't he the oldest of these "high school" students"? He looks about 30!

Re: secretstar – Agreed - he looked too old last season.

I have really been thinking about this. I love Glee but I think Ryan Murphy is taking himself too seriously. I know he wants to be realistic but since when has Glee been a realistic show? No one I know can just break into a song and dance whenever they feel like it. I'm sure I will continue watching but how can you get rid of your three biggest stars? Wasn't the show created with Lea Michele in mind? I think it's a poor decision on Ryan's part.

they are not my 3 favourites, so I'm ok with it. When Mark Salling and Heather Morris leave, then I will have issues.

Ryan Murphy is GREAT at starting shows. Then he starts to take apart the things that made the show great. This one will end up like Saved By the Bell . .The College Years. When you take the chemistry away, your show goes downhill. It is going to be hard following the characters when you know that they will be leaving.

Replacing the cast is a horrible idea. We didn't fall in love with the show - we fell in love with the characters, the writing, and the all around genuine feel of the show.

They took away the great writing. They took away the genuine feel of the show and turned it into a showy, preachy, annoying sh*tfest. You take away the characters we fell in love with and you've killed it. Lea Michele may be a bitch, but she IS glee. It will never ever top season 1. That was the best it's ever going to be.

I think it makes sense to have them graduate at different times. They obviously can't all be in the same 'grade' in high school. And since they referenced what year Rachel (Lea Michele) was in during Season 1 it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that she would be graduating during season 3. I am glad that Mark Salling and Heather Morris will be around for at least another year. Heather has a way of nailing one liners, and Mark adds the resident bad boy image they need for the show. Everyone is upset and shocked now cause it's fresh in our minds that they are graduating at the end of next season but true Gleeks will watch no matter what.

It doesn't make sense to cut your best characters and the actors with the most fans and leave the rest of the cast in Season 4. Unless they're planning a spin-off with these three characters. Even then, a spin-off is really really hard to pull off. I don't understand this decision at all.

It won't be the same, we fell in love with the cast, they has such great chemistry

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, BidsGet.com
