Smart move!

Although Brooke Mueller was reportedly heading to a rehab center in Mexico to battle her cocaine addiction, we've now gotten word that she decided to go to a facility in the US instead, because she got cold feet about using a controversial hallucinogenic used in the country that supposedly helps stop drug cravings, even though it's illegal here!

According to sources, the Mexican rehab would have put her on Ibogaine, but she had complications even making her flight TWICE - once, after getting into a fight with a flight attendant, as we reported, and the second because she forgot her passport - and she decided that this was a sign that the treatment would not be good for her!

The insider explains:

"She was convinced that was a sign to not go to Mexico. Brooke was aware that Ibogaine is a very dangerous drug to take, and could potentially do more harm than good for her. This was a very big step for Brooke to take. Brooke has resisted entering a residential facility because she didn't want to be away from her sons. Brooke did complete several outpatient programs in the past six months, but she would quickly relapse. Brooke finally realized she had to check in for intense treatment."

Yeah - fighting a drug addiction with a hallucinogenic illegal in the US doesn't seem like a very condusive way to recover, so we're glad that she sucked it up and decided to go into a residential center!

We know it must be tough to be away from the kids, but ultimately, this will only help your chances of being able to spend more time with them in the future, gurl!

Stay strong!

She will leave the reprogramming center with a shiny new alter.

Self sabotage — something she knows intimately. I look into my crystal ball and I see her going to rehab again in 8 weeks, then again and again and then…. opps she OD'd — all done now. Buhbye Brookie, you wasted your life.

How very sad. She has been in rehab 15 times already. My gosh when will she learn. And she has kids so for her to keep relapsing that is just selfish. Think of your kids for a change. You have learned enough from Rehab, stop with the drugs get your narrow ass to NA and STOP ALREADY.

The only bad sign was after she missed her flight, before she knew it, she was hitting the pipe with a fat ol'rock….

But basically, Ibogaine when used in the medical settings is very safe for people to use; doctors that are monitoring them, will make sure they are ok. & after the treatment, it's like 90% or even higher, that cravings for heroin, or cocaine, or anything, will be gone. THAT'S INCREDIBLE. No other treatment route can say that. With treatments here, you'll almost always have cravings… Just saying.
I personally think it's time, our lawmakers take alook at the FACTS, & not the propaganda, that history has provided with us… But I'm not getting into that, haha.

ACTUALLY; Ibogaine has been quite succesfully for treating particulary, Heroin addiction, but has been said to work with cocaine & alcohol. I've researched it quite a bit, because I was battling an addiction as well. The reason it was banned along time ago, before their was any scientific evidence to prove it was dangerous, was because it's a hallucinogenic. Being a hallucinogenic drug, alone, can cause the drug to be banned. Currently, Ibogaine treatment is legal in Euorpean countries, Mexico, & some others… But, it has a very high success rate, even higher then our treatments here… Many of the patients that use this treatment route, say that it actually gets rid of their cravings. As well, while doing this treatment, patients are moniotored 24/7 by doctors & staff. When it's monitored & used approiatedly, it's a safe drug. It was actually used in Law & Order; SVU, because their are alot of misconceptions on it, & alot of other drugs as well.. but that's a different story.

As well, some comments are quite ignorant. I'm sure none of you, have gone through a serious addiction. It's not easy for anybody to stop. Atleast she's making the attempt to stop, no matter how many times she's gone to rehab, atleast she's still trying…. Relaspeing doesn't mean she's selfish… drug addiction isn't black & white like that. It just isn't. Most doctors agree it's a disease, some say it's from an underlying mental issue, or depression. But just because she relapsed, & is returning to rehab, doesn't make her a bad mother. She's trying. I suggest some of you, read up on it. You won't be so ignorant, when you do have to deal with it..whether it be your family, or children, or yourself… Not trying to be rude, but addiciton can happen to ANYONE. Nobody is immune to it.

(my first post, was supposed to come after the second)

Sorry for all the posts; wouldn't let me say it all in one.

I hope she finds her way out of it. Paris Hilton used her for her own gain and her mother likes her daughter in the lime light. She has one friend who seems to be honest and tells her the truth. Sadly I can't remember her name. She needs more friends like that around her.

This chick is a hot mess. I hope she gets better if not for herself for her kids.

    I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17

inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to

our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay

expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46

inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me

$52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get

    all this stuff, BidsGet.com

Actually, Perez, the "Smart move" for Brooke would be to do the alternative Ibogaine treatment in Mexico. Clearly, the legal rehab methods in the U.S. have not worked for her.
Ibogaine, is in fact, a very condusive way to recover and is many people's last hope.

I lived in Jalisco, Mexico for a year in 2007 and saw, first hand, the recovery that took place, at the Dream House in San Pancho, Nayarit, MX. Heroin and opiate addicts (crack, cocaine, etc) were able to kick there habits in a 24 hour period with no withdrawl symptoms and no cravings afterward. I still keep in touch with these people some of whom I am particualry close and they are STILL clean. These people had 5-10 year+ serious habits under their belt too. Ibogaine IS quite safe. Complications are very rare…and much safer than drug addiction anyway…so I don't get what the fuss is about. The U.S. hasn't made it legal because they make more money off addicts, plain and simple…and methodone clinics too. Haven't you figured out the the U.S. is all about money and not about people yet? If it was legal here we'd have a lot less addicts, I tell you that. Ibogaine is no joke, it's an amazing and sacred plant that has helped MANY! I have personally taken it, as it can be taken for spiritual reasons not just addiction and could replace YEARS of therapy in most people.
