Amy Winehouse Has Passed Away.

| Filed under: Amy WinehouseR.I.P.Sad Sad

We can't even begin to process this.

Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her London apartment.

According to a press release from the Metropolitan Police:

"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."

This is so unbelievably devastating on so many levels. She truly was such a talent.

Our sincerest condolences go out to her family, friends, and loved ones during this impossibly difficult time.

May she R.I.P.

Scotland Yard has confirmed that there were no signs of foul play at Winehouse's apartment, and that an autopsy has been scheduled to take place tomorrow to determine cause of death.

London authorities have released an official statement regarding Amy's passing.

Superintendent Raj Kohli says:

"Next of kin have been informed, and I can confirm that officers are now satisfied that the deceased is Amy Winehouse. I am aware of reports suggesting this death is the result of a suspected drugs overdose, but I would like to re-emphasize that no post-mortem examination has yet taken place and it would be inappropriate to speculate on the cause of death."

This is so tragic, she had a truely special and individual talent and my thoughts go out to her friends and family.

I have not been to this site for months. When I saw the news od Amy Winehouse I thought of the viscious nasty ridicule of her and her problems. One of the reasons I stopped coming to the site, too negative.

Reading you statement and expression of "devastation" Mario, is a testimony to you callous denial of how damaging words are. You havesaid very nasty things about this woman and blithe;y waltz away from your actions when your true nature might become apparent to
you. You are truly one of the lowlifes of our time. And if you die I won't be rewriting my comment. Ugh Creepy

rest in peace amy, gone too soon & you'll be missed.

This sh*t happens to people all the time. Especially famous people. They go on a road of recovery and then relapse thinking their tolerance is as high as it used to be so they take the same amount of drugs they used to and then they overdose. I am almost sure thats what happened. Poor Amy. RIP

  6. 106

Not surprising, sorry to say that, but she had unhealthy habits and you take that risk.

Of course I'm assuming the cause was because of those habits, but who knows. Sad waste of talent.

    Hugs, not drugs.

  7. 107

Re: FoUfCfK – It's Saturday, moron.

  8. 108

Oh please, Perez has been tearing this woman down for years on the blog and of course once she's dead now he's so "incredibly sad" about it and wishing condolences. The same thing will happen with Lindsay Lohan soon, mark my words. Perez is going to burn in Hell where he belongs.

  9. 109

just because perez wasn't always kind to amy in his blog, does not mean he wished her dead. use some common sense, people!

  10. 110

she was a very talented women & it's sad that she has past. But we all know it would happen sooner or later.

  11. 111

My heart dropped when I read this. In Norway, there have been so many souls lost in the past 48 hours, young souls, and now they are joined with one more. This is so incredibly sad. I knew that Norway would some day be attacked, and I also knew that there was a high possibility of Amy passing away too young, but it still hits you hard when it happens. This day is filled with grief. I send love to everyone touched by everything that's happened. R.I.P.

  13. 113

    :O ……. D:

  14. 114

OMG I can believe it but I can't. So sad maybe she'll finally RIP

What a true tragedy, she was so talented. She reminds me now of Janis Joplin, who also died at the age of 27 and battled drug/alcohol addiction to the end. RIP Amy.

  16. 116

“the little white Jewish Salt ‘n’ Pepa.”…RIP.

  17. 117

  18. 118

thanks for sharing your time on earth and your talent with us.
condolences to your loved ones and family. I know they cared and tried to help. Now, rest lady.

Re: WatchGuardian – You are a nasty, evil, disgusting piece of shit. Nobody wants to read your vile comments. Didn't your mother ever teach you that if you don't have something nice to say then say nothing at all. Karma is a bitch so I will take comfort in the fact that you will get what's coming to you.

  20. 120

Re: Meggie246624 – That's truly heartbreaking. She was so talented and I always hoped she'd get the help she needed. RIP.

  21. 121

Re: rachelinala – What the hell does your comment have to do with Amy Winehouse dying? If you don't like the website so much then leave and stop bitching!

  22. 122

oh no!!! I thought she was on the road to recovery! I won't be able to listen to Back to Black for awhile now. This is incredibly heartbreaking! So young and immensely talented. Very sad!!! May she RIP

  23. 123

Perez you disgust me you should be ashamed of yourself for what you do. You're constantly criticizing her and making fun of her and taking jabs at her and the whole time she has been going through her addiction. How do you feel now?

  24. 124

One of the few with actual talent. Her death is not surprising, but still sad and idk how some of these comments can be so nasty.

  25. 125

This is so shocking! I want to know what the heck happened. Why was she not being monitored? Why didnt she stay in rehab if she was going to kill herself? Thats if she commited Suicide. Shes only 27!! RIP Amy. So young and had so much to live for!

  26. 126

Amy's sitting around the 27 Club table with Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison right now…all died way too soon…and at 27 years old…too sad.

  27. 127

Damn it! Why didn't Big Black Dick move his money off Blohan and back on Wino in the Dead Pool? RIP you nasty ass junkie bitch!

  28. 128

  29. 129

    stupid 27 club

  30. 130

Drug addiction is horrific for the addict and those who love him or her. What a wasted talent. J-Lo is undoubtedly pissed that Winehouse's death is stealing her thunder from her "devastating" marriage breakup and her "I'm a victim" bull crap publicity spin.

  31. 131

Re: Kdel – crying??? fuck you…………

  32. 132

She wasn't concert material but I do believe she probably would have had a couple of good songs left in her. Question is if she believed that… poor girl.

  33. 133

I was happy that dolt from Jackass dies but this makes me sad. Amy was authentic. Very sad.

  34. 134

  35. 135

    rest in peace Amy.

  36. 136

@Pam's Triple-Filled Silicone Breasts Amazing how many people get help by those "cults". Only twats like you seem to have a issue with religion. I am not a over religious person, but it helps a lot of people.

  37. 137

This is so sad and a great talent was lost today! It was a suprise to me as it should be to all people! yes she was an addict and if you have never been one you would not understand! We dont know what was going on in this poor girls head! Its a really hard thing to overcome! And most dont!

Re: XTINA IS A POP MUSIC ICON!!! BITCHES!! – Can you please translate what the fuck you just said? Those with the IQ above a rock just got confused

Tragic loss of a spectacular talent…who didn't see this coming? Hope lohan is paying attention.

  40. 140

OMG….i was watching hervideos last night. This is a real shocker!! May she rest in peace and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family and loved ones.

  41. 141

It seems the most talented go at 27 - Hendrix, Cobain, Winehouse, Joplin…. The ironic part here is she had just gotten out of rehab and she looked great so one of two things most likely happened: (1) overdose (hope not); or, (2) her heart gave out after years of drug abuse. She was talented and different from other singers. Addiction most likely destroyed her. Very sad.

  42. 142

RIP Amy, I never condoned your lifestyle and I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and hope it wasn't drug or alcohol related but either way RIP, you were a very talented person who has surely influenced many people musically. My condolences also go to Frank and Janis in this tragic situation. Rest in piece, Amy. You will be missed. x

  43. 143

Re: Kdel – Fuck you too, limpdick. So one jew crackhead bitch overdoses and dies. Big fucking deal! 90 kids in Norway are dead at the hands of a madman, but this nasty skank will get all the press. Typical.
Karma is a bitch, isn't it, especially for crackhead singers who mocked the notion of going to rehab to kick their addictions. Now crackhead singer is DEAD.

  44. 144

Re: Perezzyfan93 – Shocking? She was a junkie who had numerous chances to get her life out of the gutter and yet it wasn't enough. It wasn't a case of "if" but "WHEN"

  45. 145

And I was having a good day until hearing the VERY UPSETTING BAD NEWS!

  46. 146

The cursed 27 ppl, it only takes the talented ones

  47. 147

i can only hope lindsay lohan is next.

  48. 148

Perez I appreciate that you chose that picture and showed respect. Addiction is evil.

  49. 149

omg i always had the feeling that she was gonna make a comeback but now she died =( that makes me so sad

  50. 150

OMG. Im in shock!!! poor mess!!! see what drugs can do to someone!!! RIP
such a talent!!! god bless her

  51. Kdel says – reply to this

Re: asswiper – - Believe it or not some people cry when they hear that someone so young and talented couldn't recover from the disease of addiction and died. It's called empathy you piece of shit. What kind of asshole says "fuck you" because someone cried. I bet your parents are real proud of you…or have they already disowned you because you are such a disappointment to them.

  52. 152

loved her music very much and her spirit. perez you were quite the hater towards her so please stop with the hypocrisy thing please.

  53. 153

    R.I.P. :'(

  54. 154

such a very young and talented woman, gone before she could really make her mark on this world…but unfortunately a very troubled soul. May the good Lord have mercy upon her!

  55. 155

No, this is not shocking. It would be shocking if this were another celebrity like Mandy Moore. She's 27, too. Would you expect to find her dead? No. This is awful and disgusting. She has been sick for years. I first heard of her back in 2007. She was sick then too. I saw her perform on stage, and I was sick looking at her. I couldn't understand why she was performing on stage and promoting "Rehab" - she needed to be in the hospital. Shame on her. Shame on her management. She on her family. YEah, I went there.

  56. 156

WHY?! I hate drugs and what they do to these great talents!! WHY DO ALL THESE PEOPLE DIE AT AGE 27?!?!?!?!

  57. 157

This is so sad. I remember being on Youtube 2 months ago and watching clips of how in love her and Blake were together. I just think Blake having a baby, put her over the edge. I believe people can die from a broken heart. RIP- You beautiful, song bird.

  58. 158

    God Bless You, Sweet Girl.

I hope you have found peace.

Prayers and thoughts to her family and friends.

  59. 159

tried to make me go to rehab i said nooo noo nooo.! and now shes dead…..

  60. 160

its too bad that all of these people and their "nice messages" weren't saying the same thing yesterday..Really this kind of thing happens a hundred times a day..people only care because she's famous…..One death is a tragedy; a million is a statistic….

  61. 161

Even though this was something that was seen a long time coming, it's still a massive shock for me. I'm a huge fan of hers and I'm so sad to see her go. Her talent was a force to be reckoned with to say the least. RIP Amy. I hope you're soul can finally rest.

To those making jokes, try to sit back and think how you'd feel if someone made jokes about your family or friend who died.

  62. 162

Re: Kdel – Disease of addiction? Fucking bullshit! Cancer is a disease. MS is a disease. Being a crackhead drunk is a CHOICE. You choose to smoke rock and drink all day. Junkies and drunks are just weaklings with no will power. They shouldnt be prevented from doing what they want to do. Fuck them. Give them all the drugs they want so they can speed up the process.

  63. 163

She chose this fate for herself.

I don't understand all the shock and awe about her death.

  64. 164

  65. Kdel says – reply to this

Re: WatchGuardian – Addiction IS a disease you uneducated piece of trash. You are just trying to get a rise out of people and I will no longer give you what you want.

  66. 166

NO. This is so sad. I always likened her to Janis Joplin and Billie Holiday. They all had great bluesy voices and a troubled history.
But, I always hoped she would prevail.

    I am devastated.

  67. 167

My heart goes out to her family.

  68. 168

LOL at mario who's now acting so sorry about the death when he's been bashing her for years. Whatever Mario

  69. MaryD says – reply to this

This was not "bound to happen." As someone who related to her music, I believe it's easy to despair. And I hope she didn't before it was over. Hope she was still fighting…

  70. 170

Re: Kdel – addiction is a choice just like fat ass people have a choice not to eat 10 slices of pizza in a row. People make their own choices in life, but of course they all act like weaklings trying to cast the blame somewhere else for their actions. What bullshit! Winehouse was just another miserable crackhead who consciously chose to use drugs and drink every day. She made the decision and she could have stopped if she wanted to, but she didnt want to. Oh well, now shes fucking dead. I guess that's the only way for some piece of trash junkies to learn, isnt it?

  71. 171

    Rest in Peace Amy

  72. 172

They tried to make me go to rehab, I wont go no no no.

Well, now you're dead you stupid bitch. They tried to make you go because they knew you had a problem but like a typical piece of shit drunk you were just selfish and didnt care how many people you hurt.

  73. 173

Oh God this is just terrible :(

  74. 174

So so sad. We all saw it coming but I always hoped she'd sort herself out. Such a waste of such a talent :'(

  75. 175

Cannot believe she is now part of club 27 :S

  76. 176

Her life and her death! So any ignorant ,insensitive asshole not human enough to be remorseful should probably get a life of their own

  77. 177

"Just to make him smile, makes my life worth while."

This is sad to me. I remember, being on YouTube- almost two months ago and watching clips of the magnetism between her and Blake, when the couple was together.

I believe the news in May put her on the edge and I believe some people can die from a broken heart. RIP- You extraordinary, song bird. I will never stop listening to your music.

"Everyone says there'll come a day
When I'll walk alongside of Him" :')

No one will ever rock a poof like, you! :')

  78. 178

Re: ilovejames – I don't believe in coincidences the fact that all of these musicians who have been very talented quickly succumb to things such as substance abuse…no coincidences it simply is related to the spiritual realm and the war being waged over our souls. May the good Lord Jesus have mercy over our souls.

  79. 179

So sad…..a year a go or so when she was recovering in I believe St. Lucia I thought there was some potential for change in her life….she seemed to be doing quite well and then the sprinkling of not so kind tabloid reporting….I saw a pic of her just a few days ago and she looked lost….I did not comment but thought about how addiction takes you away from living…..and poof now the sad reality of it is she is gone….God rest Amy's soul.

  80. 180

this is really sad. I am really surprised even though I knew she had issues with drinking and drugs. Really sad waste of a talented person. RIP

  81. 181

how unbelievably shocking…nawt, she was a fuckin junkie, good riddance scum bag,

  82. 182

i am very sad, i just wish that she could find some rest now, i don't know what happens when we face death, but i just wish good things for her soul and for her family.
I must write, i'm a little frustated with all of this people writing that they saw this coming, are you people vultures ?, do you really keep waiting untill someone dies so you can feast on his corpse ?, i always expect people to change and get better, i hope that they can get out of it, i don't keep waiting ’till someone is gone so i can scream " i told you so", this is very sad, and very alarming. It's a sad day.

  83. 183

Re: WatchGuardian – I dont think I have ever heard anything so stupid in my life! Addiction is a disease. People try drugs all the time and don't get addicted, however there are the people who try drugs and can't stop. It is in your genetics whether you will be an addict or not. Addiction is a serious disease and it's people like you who make people think it's not!

  84. 184

You've treated her very badly over the years, and gleefully reported on her drug use, her marriage woes, and every other negative thing you could find (read: copy and paste). You're not devastated; I don't think you give a shit at all. Your post about her death is inexcusably hypocritical and leaves a bad stench in the world. One condolence post won't begin to make up for all the truly shitty posts you made about her; you are the worst low-life scum on the planet. I don't know how you manage to live with yourself, and to be honest, the world would be a better place without you.

  85. 185

Another talent in the 27 club… I won't say RIP cause a girl like that would wanna rest…. Jive in peace with all those other sparkly people. You were one of them girl. You made us dream, listen and cry. JIP

  86. 186

    I cannot believe this.

  87. 187

    Rip Amy!

  88. 188

This is shocking to you? Really? Really?

  89. 189

Holy shit people have some respect. Now is not the time to talk about whether or not you liked he as a human or an artist. A young musician has joined the 27 Club and is now dead. Be mature and save your ignorant comments for another day.

  90. 190

    Tragic. R.I.P.

  91. 191

the poor dear! she should be remembered for her musical contributions, not the fact that she had severe mental issues and didn't seek proper treatment.

  92. 192

So upset to hear of her death. I loved her music so much adn feared this would happen. Devastated by this tragic loss.

  93. 193

A legend passes. The fact that the word legend is mentioned after only 2 albums goes to show just how talented this young lady really was. Tragic.

  94. 194

so, there's a chance GaGa will join the 27 club :p
RIP Dear Amy, you'll find your truly happiness there…

  95. k-lee says – reply to this

Oh my God… this is so sad. This poor girl had so much to offer the world but her demons never left her. Such a waste. She was so young and had a magnificent voice. Some battles are more difficult for other people. May you truly Rest In Peace, Amy. Your songs live forever.

  96. 196

OMG! Girlfriend, U was so frail,
    miss U 4 ever!

  97. 197

No matter how much shit you guys talk, you just can never see these things happening specially when she was in rehab and getting help. Very sad R.I.P Amy

  98. 198

Re: ccmyplaymate – Bless you … you're such a sweetheart and try so hard to see the good in others. I'm your polar opposite, but you always make me smile.
I wasn't a fan, but I'm sorry she's gone. No life should end so young. It doesn't matter if it was her inability to fight her horrible addiction that killed her or something else; what does matter is that she's gone and will have no opportunity to have a future.

  99. 199

sorry to say this but i saw it coming. she wasted her talent on doing drugs and drinking so much. she couldn't even perform amazing she got booed a lot and she had to cacel her tour. she brought this upon herself. I see lindsay doing this in matter years even lady gaga.

  100. 200

    of course no foul play

everyone had her on a death clock. im surprised she lasted till 27.. lohan wont reach 30 either

i usually say RIP to these celebs.. bu this idiot knew what she was doing and where she would end up.. very sad..

    not surprised at all
