Vanilla Ice Backtracks Bieber Comments

After learning how his comments came across in the media, Vanilla Ice wants everyone to know what he meant:

I think the whole story is that [I'm] badmouthing Justin Bieber. That's just not true. I'm friends with him and I've hung out with him. I know his parents, they're very nice. I don't think he's going to be forgotten. I don't think he's going to be forgotten at all. In fact, I think he'll be remembered forever. I wish him all the best. I wasn't trying to say anything bad about anybody. I never badmouth him at all. I don't have any reason to hate anybody; I believe in good karma and spreading good energy.

Nice save!

Unfortunately, Bieber's fan base is very fickle, and in all likelihood his popularity will decline as his fans get older. Too bad his parents didn't have the sense to keep him in school and out of the spotlight until he was at least done high school. If he had waited, he would have had the chance of a more mature fan base and a much longer career. I hope he can handle the fall.

Is anyone able to express their feeling correctly the first time any more? Besides, I agree with him.

Shut up Perez; we all know you salivate over Bieber.
    .
I'm sure the Jonas Brothers thought they'd be around forever; no doubt Hanson thought so too. Bieber will fade and that's a good thing.

There is nothing wrong with what he said. It happens all the time. When artists are so young it is hard to maintain that same level of fame forever. I think the use of the internet in todays time actually helps an artist reach a level of fame faster than before but it also can help ruin careers faster than before. If you look at the career of the Jonas Brothers they reached the level of fame of Justin Bieber and that wasn't too long ago, and now they are irrevelant. I think Vanilla Ice is being realistic.

Re: rosebud99 – The popularity of all acts declines with time, which is all Ice was getting at from his experienced vantage point. Just look at NKOTBSB. They were king of the hill just a few years ago, and now they're double headlining to ensure filled seats on an attempted comeback. Vanilla Ice is known to be quite a nice guy, and media does take quoted snippets and post them out of context knowing it slants the story in a certain way.

    I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17

inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to

our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay

expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46

inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me

$52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get

    all this stuff, BidsGet.com

Justin Bieber is just like "lil bow wow" and the Jonas Brothers and all other boy bands and fads INCLUDING vanilla ice. And he is right.. Justins career will most likely fade as he and his fan base get older…. But if not, then go ahead Justin do your thing!
