Well, when it comes to the news that they're living apart, we guess it's not that easy to hide.
Now Nick has finally responded to the rumors, and his answer confirms our worst fears for the pair. He said:

Prepare yourselves, Gleeks. This is important information about your favorite show. Hold your breath. Make a wish. Count to three. Read on!
For the last week or so, fans of Glee have been pretty bummed to hear about the coming casting changes. Word from creator Ryan Murphy was that three of the show's top actors - Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and Corey Monteith - would be DEFINITELY be graduating this coming season. Since the show is about high school kids in a Glee club, we all assumed this would be the end for Rachel, Kurt and Finn. We also heard that Chord Overstreet might not be coming back to the show since he wasn't asked back as a full-time regular actor.
Chord is out. He's walking. At the end, the show offered him 10 episodes with the possibility of becoming a series regular. He declined in favor of some other offers. Bon voyage!
However, that brings us to the big news. The BETTER news. The news that if they (the creators) renege on, they'll need to sedate us to keep us from going to pieces!!!
According to Brad Falchuck, one of the other creators and writers of the show who was at Comic-Con, Lea, Chris and Corey aren't going ANYWHERE! He confirmed that their characters would in fact be graduating McKinley High this year, but that this won't be the trio's last season. He explained:
“Just because they’re graduating doesn’t mean they’re leaving the show. If you have Lea Michele under contract, you don’t say, ‘We’re gonna let you go.' … It was never our plan or our intention to let them go. They are not done with the show after this season.”
Phew! Close one!
And by that, we mean we're glad the producers saw what a complete and utter mistake it was to think that the show could go on without its stars and ensured that they would be under contract for awhile longer. Bless them for feeling the pressure of unhappy and distraught Gleeks worldwide!
