Thank goodness! What a fighter!
A rep for the Schwarzenegger family confirmed this afternoon that Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's 13-year-old son Christopher was released from the hospital last night and is resting at home. It's been a week since he was admitted to the ICU after suffering a collapsed lung and broken ribs in a boogie boarding accident, but his parents insist that their little man is doing much better now.
Maria took to her Twitter to say thanks to all those who supported the family and gave care to her son. She tweeted:
"Blessed to be able to take Christopher out of the hospital last night. What a feeling of relief to know that he's going to be fine. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. The whole family, especially Christopher, felt your love. We were very lucky. Many patients and families we met have been there so long and have no end in sight. I pray for their recovery. I will forever be grateful to the amazing doctors, nurses and hospital staff in the ICU who helped my son."
We couldn't be more pleased to hear that Chris is alright and in recovery. We're even more pleased that Maria and Arnie were able to put their differences aside for the sake of their son. That was very big of you, Maria. We know it must've been very hard week for you. But your boy is fine. Everyone deserves a bit of a rest now.
