Beach Boys Time Is Here Again! Band To Release New Album!

The kings of summer music are back!

Reloading, the remaining members of The Beach Boys are working on making more sunny tracks for 2012.

As for their new album's sound, member Mike Love has this to say:

I think it's going to sound a lot like what you might have heard from the Beach Boys. The harmonies will be there, and I think there will be a lot of emotion and a lot of people relating to the fact that here's these guys who have been doing this for half a century. I think it will mean a lot to our older fans, and we're not going to lose sight of the fact that there's many millions of people who have come along since we started. I think it should be celebration and…a party as well.

We really like Good Vibrations. Summer waves meet psychedelic imagery. Yeah, do more like that!

Oh yeah, and throw some Uncle Jesse in there too!

Dude, this is going to suck so hard. Mike Love is a douche and HE'S releasing an album using the Beach Boys' name. The band has been in shambles ever since Carl Wilson died in 1998- he held what was left of the band (Al Jardine, Carl, Mike & Bruce Johnston) together. Ever since then, they've splintered off into their own thing.

Now, if you had posted that BRIAN WILSON, who MADE Good Vibrations what it is, was reuniting with Mike & Al to make this album, THEN I would be excited.

Otherwise, it's just Mike doing his douchebag thang. Again. For more money, because that's all he ever cared about. He's also riding on the coattails of the fact that the original SMiLE is finally going to be released.

The Beach Boys without Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson and Denis Wilson is not the Beach Boys.

There is no way their new music is going to sound nearly as good as their stuff from before.

Agree, without the Wilson brothers, this is NOT the Beach Boys. I heard them once before, w/o the Wilsons and they were horrible, half the arena left by the 3rd song.
