Mark Ronson Remembers Amy In Concert With Valerie

| Filed under: Music MinuteAmy Winehouse

If anyone is feeling the loss of Amy Winehouse, its him.

Longtime friend and collaborator Mark Ronson performed at the Greenwich Summer Sessions in London last night, but he took a moment out to pay tribute to Amy with the love of music that they shared.

Along with Amy's back-up singers and musicians, Mark had the audience join him in a loud an rousing version of Valerie.

Check out the video (above) and feel the power of Amy!

I think a lot of artists are going to use this for publicity. It didn't seem to me like anyone really liked her or gave a shit about her or her music (other than that rehab blip). But now that she's gone….get out the "Chris Brown Channeling Michael Jackson Fake Tear Kit" and let's make some $$$$!!!!!!

The crack head died from drugs……stop making her like she is some role model and idol for everyone to look up to……

same goes for Kurt Cobain….loser was a crack head who killed himself and left behind a little girl at the time….what a selfish bastard…..

Amy was a crack heard….we are all surprised that Courtney Love out lived her…bet someone made some good money on the Death Pool on Amy….still waiting for Courtney and then Lindsey Lohan.

Re: J Live – no shit! People are always around AFTER you die, but aren't there to help you when you are a living crack head.

Heath Ledger's friends watched him die and did nothing to help him…yes, that goes out to you Olsen Twins.

I can believe how much press she's getting. She was a minor celebrity with minor appeal. Is it because she's British? Because the recent royal visit was way over-covered too.

Yeah she was a druggie and an alcoholic, but she was an incredibly talented person with a god given voice. I was rooting for her to get her life sorted out. I still can't believe she's gone, so sad.

Re: OhJustPickOne – I agree. People are so cynical about her death, and pointing fingers, and saying no-one cared when she was alive, but at the end of the day it is just sad. Dealing with an addict is extremely difficult - who are we to judge?

Re: J LiveRe: dreamboat – i would think if anyone were going to give a musical tribute to amy winehouse it should be mark ronson. and as for her being a minor celebrity with minor appeal, her second album back to black sold over 10 million copies world wide, and at the 50th annual grammy awards ceremony she won 5 awards. i guess everyone has their own definition of minor.

Yeah,my name is Valerie so I'm quite honoured that Mark and etc have done this tribute. Feels really special to me as I was really happy when I heard it the first time. Made me feel important for a bit. Thanks Mark and all my never ending love to you dear Amy. Even though we didn't know you personally we hold you tight in our hearts. RIP dearest whip of a flower.xx
