Michele Bachmann is declaring that her husband is off limits during her campaign, which is funny because she had no problem criticizing Michelle Obama back in '08.
At a luncheon in DC on Thursday, the candidate said:
"I am extremely proud of my husband, I have tremendous respect for for him. I am running for the presidency of the United States. My husband is not running for the presidency. Neither are my children, neither is our business, neither are our foster children."
However, back in 2008 during Obama's run for presidency, Bachmann said that Michelle Obama was "anti-American" after Michelle said she was only recently proud of her country. She's also gone after the First Lady's initiative to promote breast feeding. Bachmann said on a radio show, "Can you imagine if Laura Bush was doing that, out trying to pass her legislation?" she said. "I think the media would have been after her."
Okay, look…Of course, children should be off-limits no matter what. But, if you're going to play that game, Michelle, then your husband is free game. Ha!
In all seriousness though, no one should have to resort to these attacks. It's just petty, immature games, which will (hopefully) not get you see a seat in the White House.
