Alan Ball Sticking Around True Blood For At Least One More Year!

| Filed under: TV NewsAlexander SkarsgårdAnna PaquinTrue Blood

We're going to EXPLODE with excitement over this wonderful news!

Alan Ball has shut down rumors that he'd be stepping away from his wildly successful True Blood after the current season wraps, because he's apparently closed a multi-year deal with HBO, which ensures that he's committed to the series!

However, after season five, he'll be allowed to decide whether or not he wants to stay on as full-time executive producer/showrunner!

He reveals:

"I have no desire to leave. Doing the show, I'm having more fun than I have ever had in my life."

Excellent! That's the spirit!

Because we're having the time of our life enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse and Vampire Bill Viking Vampire Eric variety hour!

Keep up the good work!

I hope he continues with it………..I usually wish he'd stay more true (no pun intended) to the books however, on the last episode where sookie could hear gran through the witch, that should've been in the books. that was awesome………..

this is a cash cow for Ball and HBO. He's not leaving yet.
Also, the actors have LONG term contracts, so he won't depart too soon.
I think it is contract renewal time and he was talking shit to scare HBO into giving him what he wanted.

Yeah, your exploding allright. But, with the gayface pciture you have posted, i'm starting to see why the show went from a kool vampire series to a series mostly about gay relationships.
