Fickle Facebook Flip Flops: Chapter 9

Nevermind

Facebook keeps going back and forth on what can and can't be uploaded to the site.

Nirvana uploaded the album cover of Nevermind to promote its upcoming 20th anniversary re-release.

Facebook took it down.

Facebook does not allow photos that attack an individual or group, or that contain nudity, drug use, violence or other violations of the Terms of Use.

But then! Dum dum duummm….

Facebook put it back up.

The photo on the cover of 'Nevermind' album does not actually violate Facebook's terms. Facebook does allow photos of naked children 'that are clearly unable to stand on their own' in a non sexual situation – so in other words, babies. Why? Put it this way - if a parent wanted to share some photos of a newborn with their grandparents, we wouldn't want them to not be able to share them on Facebook.

Deeaarr Facebook,

You hire brilliant programmers. Is there any way you could hire brilliant cyber cops? The robots suck.

Looove,
Your loyal users. xoxo

On a happier note, we're super excited for Nirvana's re-release. We miss you, Kurt!

For those parents of newborns about to upload a bunch of crotch shots of there little wee ones… DON'T DO IT! That policy is lame and it lacks common sense, before they can walk in a non sexual manner, good rule of thumb stupid… At best no kid wants their parts on the internet for their entire family to see, at worse your family members you tag in the photo may just be a pedophile or have friends who are … Pedophiles have the sexual manner all up in their brain, all they need is an image stupid

Perez would love this because he was the one that got into some legal trouble for putting a crotch shot of an underage Miley on his website.

Someone needs to pass a bib and sponge over to Courtney Love to control her drool.
