Kings of Leon Cancelling Tour

As we told you lthis weekend, there was some drama going on with Kings of Leon and their Texan concerts.

After complaining of heat exhaustion, frontman Caleb Followill walked off stage and never came back. His brother, Jared Followill, apologized to the fans, admitting it wasn't just the heat getting to the band. In some interesting tweets, he aired their dirty laundry.

Then we learned the rest of the shows in Texas would be cancelled. But now ALL of the shows are being cancelled.

Well, at least in America.

In a statement, their rep extends the band's apologies:

We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need totake this break. Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band's international tour schedule.

The band will resume touring in Canada on September 28th.

But until then, we're left wondering. How big is this 'internal problem' his brother speaks of?

Will they really resume on September 28th, or is something worse happening behind closed doors?

Stay tuned!

Musicians can be replaced, not so distinctive lead vocalists.
    .
When he decided to walk off the stage, it was a POWER TRIP. He was saying, in essence, "You can't do this without me."
    .
Now, he can indulge his mental illness and oppress the rest of the band with it.
    .
    This is an old story.
    .
It doesn't always work out, though. Ask David Lee Roth.

    Oasis part 2?

  3. 3

Who cares they have what 2 hit songs?

  4. 4

    redneck version of Oasis

  5. 5

Reads "vocal issues", what is the dirty laundry? Did you leave out part of the story?

  6. 6

I never saw the appeal of these asses.

Re: Elron Hubbard - Con Man – Great points… and lol @ "Ask David Lee Roth".

i've been a fan of KOL since 2003…i wasn't able to make it to last year's show & figured, i'll just go to 2011's tour. shit. seriously caleb? there's no way your voice is messed up. maybe you're high too much or you're fighting with your band. get your shit together & do what you're paid to do! i hope nothing is wrong with him, but i considered myself a pretty big fan of theirs. now i'm starting to think they're sellouts & that caleb is a huge baby. this totally sucks. i don't even care about the refund or the money, i wanted to see them perform.

  9. 9

this band sucks anyway, they should take a permanent break

  10. 10

No………….. I love Kings Of Leon.
I saw them last year in Concert.

Re: Elron Hubbard - Con Man – Yes, Genesis. No, Journey w/ Perry. There's a significant list when it has worked. I only mentioned Oasis because I thought these guys were related. Love your comment about Roth! Re: LICKMIKEHUNT – I agree that they haven't proven themselves yet to have the talent of other bands that have survived replacing lead singers.

So what's pretentious dicks substance of choice that he now needs to be weaned off of.

  13. 13

Eonline reported this early this morning and you are just now reporting this………jeez catch up already…………….

  14. 14

At this current moment. Jared appears to be very pissed off with Caleb. Which is and always has been the issue. Caleb just seems like a very horrid person. The rest of them, not so much. Shame his vocals make the band what they are.

  15. 15

Well, if this means that that Caleb will be getting the help that he needs, then this is a good thing.

  16. 16

Wow. I was willing to give them another shot after last year's horrible $60+ for an hour show, but I'm done with them now. I do feel bad for the rest of the band, though. Caleb's drama is bringing the whole band down.

  17. 17

Yeah… Everyone knows if the heat is too much for you the 1st thing you should do is drink alcohol. I use to love KoL, they just seem to be asses now. =/

  18. 18

Caleb needs to take a tour to rehab or get his shit together. Skipping America doesn't solve the real problem.

Re: Elron Hubbard - Con Man – Not how I heard it. If he was David Lee Van Halen, it would have been business as usual. Eddie was the one dabbling, and Dave also took issue with Eddy working outside the band without discussing first, so of course Eddy took issue with that bolstered by his condition. Leon's still better off tending to the troubles sooner rather than later. Stuff happens.

  20. 20

On another note these guys sound like jerk offs
