No! We thought you were past this. You promised your mother. Didn't that mean anything to you?! Shame!

Redmond O'Neal, son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, was arrested in Santa Monica this morning for carrying narcotics in his car.

Redmond was observed by police leaving a store in the area in a hurry and blowing through a red light as he left. The cops went after him and upon searching his car, they found heroin in the vehicle. He was promptly arrested on a narcotics charges and is being held without bail.

She wanted better for you, Redmond. You were supposed to be doing right by yourself. We'd thought you'd learned.

Sad.

How about some court ordered military service for these punks? Instead of sitting in jail, or at home with a bracelet, they could be in Iraq cleaning toilets and peeling potatoes for those who are proud to serve. They might actually learn that there is more to life than the sheltered, spoiled, meaningless, uneducated lifestyles that their parents have given them.

Unbelievable. I've been watching the reality show — his father is a useless jackass. You'd think Ryan MIGHT figure out that all his kids have usage problems for a reason. Talk about people who had every reason to jump off the train and get into real life the right way! Redman, shame on you. You have ZERO excuses

"Didn't you promise your mother"? Seriously? #1. Addicts shouldn't promise people they'll never use again. It isn't as simple as that. #2. Any addict who understands their addiction and the process of recovery knows that tomorrow and the days ahead are irrelevant. What matters is today. #3. Perez, to point a statement like that out about a woman who has passed away is really classless.

stfu mario. he has a disease and no amount of promises or dead mothers will make him get sober until he wants to. he probably told his mother that wholeheartedly but then the disease that is addiction kicked in. way to kick someone when they are down you multi-personality homo……

  5. 5

Sorry but lately all I have is heartache for most of these people. Addiction, and emotional pain is very hard to overcome.

He is likely to be off heroin for a LONG time now. Some people just can't kick it. Have a friend of 25 years, school teacher actually, teaches today. Been in a methadone program for close to 20 years. Just no other way for him. He is a wonderful teacher.

I'm sure Ryan will blame Tatum somehow for this….

This punk is a loser. End of story.

Shame on you, Mario. Redmond may have made a promise to his mother in good faith, but he can't control the demon that drives him to imbibe. Addiction is a condition that requires long-term treatment and there's always the risk of falling off the wagon. I'm sure his mother DID want better for him, but the only person who can truly help him is himself by getting and doing his best to stay off the drugs. There is no guarantee of success for an addict.

The fact that Farrah Fawcett died does not mean she was a great mother. She seemed pretty self-absorbed and behaved erratically when things didn't work out with her lovers. Ryan O'Neal is now and always was scum. This kid really never had a chance and he is now in the grip of an unimaginably horrible disease. Very sad.

Where is that $500,000 "FREE" 12-Step religious cult "Higher Power" his mother's estate has paid for?

The 12-Step Religious Cult is an ABSOLUTE BILLION DOLLAR SCAM!

  12. 12

I saw him on the Tantrum & Ryan Show; he looked like an emaciated & wasting-away aids patient desperate for a fix!

you keep posting stories about celebrities who suffer from addiction….In these posts you use words like "Shame", "Sad", "Waste", etc. Stop! please stop! its not for you to judge and you CLEARLY have no understanding of addiction…AT ALL! can u imagine the torment inside this young mans head? HE knows he promised his dying mother and countless others and is tortured daily by it. Love and compassion Perez. practice it in all of YOUR daily affairs

She's at peace somewhere. He and he alone is writing his own script. Who stupidly blows through a red light while carrying narcotics, anyway, apart that he shouldn't be messing with them to begin with? Someone who needs to get caught.

  15. 15

If I were named Redmond, I'd take drugs too.

Re: SpiceGuy – All that grey matter logic, AND you're on a horse? Lawdy.

  17. 17

Redmond needs to learn how to save a life. I mean his own. I wish him the best with his inner demons.

  18. 18

This kid (because that's what he behaves like) has no conscience, morals or purpose. You'd think knowing how alcohol & drugs have ruined his entire family and making promises to quit to his famous dying Mother Farrah Fawcett, he'd find enough inspiration within himself to change his life. Guess not. I agree with rosebud99, why not some sort of military service? Even if he's not trained, he could be doing laundry or helping prepare meals for the troops. I think they should send drug arrest re-offenders to help out in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think that going to those hell holes just might work!
