It's all coming together now.

There might be some of you out there who are none too pleased that a Short Circuit reboot is in the works. Well, perhaps this latest news will sway you to the other side.

Dimension Films is thisclose to a deal with director Tim Hill to helm the flick. Tim has a lot of experience with family friendly movies, as his credits include Hop and Alvin and the Chipmunks. If/When the deal goes through, Tim will not only direct, but supervise a new script being written for the project.

Good luck, Tim! Where do we stand on getting a reprisal performance from Steve Guttenberg?!

Hollywood must realllllllllly be out of ideas if Short Circuit is next on the remake block. Why is it that every single movie out there these days is a remake, prequel or sequel? It's just ridiculous. Good lord, use your imagination, writers!

They're soooo going to ruin the remake.

In fact, it doesn't even need to be remade.
