The Science Channel Is Going Chrichton!

Michael Crichton

The Science Channel, which is owned by the Discovery Channel (which we thought was rather science-y to being with), is bringing a new show revolving around the late and brilliant Michael Chrichton!

You might know some of the things that Chrichton has written: Eaters of the Dead (AKA The 13th Warrior), Congo, Sphere, and a little story called Jurassic Park!

The show is called The World of Michael Chrichton, and will focus on the author who was very scientifically detail oriented in his writing.

With credits including Jurassic Park and NBC’s long-running ER, the special will look at the author’s personal and professional life. Karga 7 will produce, with Kelly McPherson, Miriam Leffert, Sarah Wetherbee, Emre Sahin, Laurent Bouzereau and Josh Berkley executive producing.

It was so sad when Michael died of throat cancer in 2008. It was so unexpected, and we lost one of the best writers around, especially for real-science based science fiction.

It'll be an incredible show, we don't know how it could not be!

It's really embarrassing that you can't even spell his name correctly…it's Michael CRICHTON.

Re: trent_is_better – You're honestly surprised that the man can't spell? To me, it really shows a lot of unprofessionalism when you can't get a name or even a simple word spellchecked first.

Michael CRICHTON was a notorious homophobe.
