1.5 Million Honda Cars Being Recalled!!!

honda recallin one and a half million cars

Looks like Toyota's not alone anymore…

Honda has just announced that they'll be voluntarily recalling 1.5 million U.S. vehicles to "update automatic transmission software in certain models."

Fortunately, Honda is saying that there haven't been any injuries or deaths as a result of this issue so far.

Vehicles being recalled for transmission problems are as follows:

- model year 2007 through 2010 Honda CR-Vs

- 2005 through 2008 Elements

- 2004 through 2010 Accords with 4-cylinder engines

While we're not impressed that these cars are having these issues in the first place, we at least give Honda a bit of credit for voluntarily recalling the cars….but if we hear about more recalls anytime soon, we won't be so understanding.

Do U drive a Honda? How do U feel about this recall?

I have a 2007 Honda CRV. It doesn't say anything about who to contact. Are they supposed to call us??? Crap!!!

I've had two Hondas, a 2007 Civic hybrid and now a 2010 Insight hybrid (the Civic is better) and never had any problems. There was a recall notice for a very minor problem with the Civic, took 30 minutes to fix. Very reliable cars and get good gas mileage.

I work at Honda, and I drive a Honda …… they are great cars… and they aren't the only car company that does recalls….. If you haven't received a recall letter, that could mean you aren't affected. it does go by VIN….. if unsure take it to a dealership and ask….
