The Amazing Spider-Man SEQUEL Gets A Release Date
It's still a whole year before we get to see The Amazing Spider-Man, but Sony is wasting no time before setting a release date for the movie's sequel.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released on May 2, 2014.
2014?? That's sooooo far away!
But producers are confident that their reboot will be a huge hit. A Sony exec said:
"I think it speaks volumes about our confidence in what we are seeing on the new film and our desire to move quickly on the next installment."
Our spidey senses tell us that they just may be right!

I'm OK with a reboot. What sucks is that SONY PICTURES won't let him appear in any of the films that MARVEL is producing. So no Spider-Man in the Avengers. Come on Sony! Work out a deal with Marvel so that he can appear as a bit player in their movies while still making bank for your studio! It's win-win.
