Wow! Well THIS is certainly unexpected!

Despite all of the obnoxious bullshiz between Charlie Sheen and his being replaced by Ashton Kutcher on Two and a Half Men, the hard-pAArtying actor apparently has changed his tune - but of course, with a backhanded compliment!

He reportedly claims to be "rooting hard" for the new season, and continues:

"I think Ashton's gonna kill it. It'll be nice to know that they get some carryover ratings from people being sorta curious about what happened to their guy."

Ha! There it is - that tinge of the Charlie we've all come to know and expect!

But we have to admit - we ARE curious to see if the audience will take to Ashton on the show!

What do U think?? Will Two and a Half Men survive without the MaSheen?

personally i think that chuck lorre is an idiot. the only reason people watched two and a half men is coz charlie was fucking hysterical. the show was based on his life which made it so beilevable. the only reason people are going to watch this season is to see how charlie dies and to see what ashton does with the role. then they will switch over to charlies new show which is what i will be doing. two and a half men is charlie sheen. and charlie is ratings gold so if they want to replace him then they better be prepared to loose all there loyal viewers.

I love John Cryer. He was the scene stealer in the last couple of seasons anyway, so it could still work.

Re: T.E.A.M.J.O.L.I.E – I couldn't have said it better……good or bad, Charlie is what he is and I enjoyed the show thoroughly. Have we all forgotten that a sitcom is just that….a sitcom. Asston Kuntcher is no equal, match, or replacement. Cannot wait for Charlie's next show! THEY'VE LOST THIS LOYAL VIEWER BUT I'LL ALWAYS WATCH THE RERUNS!

I think it will take three episodes for Ashton to find his chops but Cryer and the little boy are really funny and the writing is great…Charlie should let it go…’cause God knows that they letgo of him!!!

I don't get this post, when has Charlie said anything but great things about Ashton replacing him? I watched this show a couple of times but it was like the same joke over and over. I know there is a lot more to it, but I applaud anyone who says if you have a brief case of coke show up to your house but you don't show up to work….you can't come back. Ratings or not.

Re: T.E.A.M.J.O.L.I.E – Well that's not entirely true. You said, "the only reason people watched two and a half men is coz charlie was fucking hysterical". Maybe that's why YOU watched the show; but it's not why I watched it. I didn't particularly like Charlie; but I liked the writing and the other characters and as a whole, which I thought made the show was funny. I'm looking forward to the new show without Charlie, as I think this is an improvement.

Re: Meggie246624 – the show was all about charlie and his life. did you not get that. the writting was based on stuff he did in real life. if you dont like charlie sheen then i dont get why you watched the show in the first place.

Re: T.E.A.M.J.O.L.I.E – I agree with Meggie. It may have started out all about Charlie, but it became just as much if not more about Alan. And the other characters are all great too. Charlie got a bit boring.

Re: rosebud99 – You captured what I was trying to say perfectly. Thanks.

Its gunna suck.Ashton is barely funny at best. Charlie is a douche but at least he honest. thats why hes even funny because his pathetic cheating, boozing and coke binges he portrays in tv is real.

Re: rosebud99Re: Meggie246624 – charlie should sue chuck lorre. his ideas for the script was all based on charlies real life. alan was barely a lead charecter. and honestly i found him annoying. but to each there own. this show is going to crash and burn without charlie. it might last another season or two . to me it was more a doecumentary. you know that half the time on stage charlie was actually drunk. he wasnt even acting at all. thats what made it as beilevable as it was.

Re: T.E.A.M.J.O.L.I.E – Maybe you have a possible point, but his life didn't write those lines. Lorre and his uber clever team did, and uber clever Charlie & Co. delivered them. Anyway, Charlie here is trying to move on and is showing grace. Why can't people watch both shows? I plan to.

Barf. I'm so sick of looking at Charlie Sheen's dried out weathered wrinkly ugly face. I can't wait til these losers that America is so obsessed with drop off the planet and make room for some real talent and folks with a little bit of humbleness about themselves. I can't believe folks would waste their brain cells watching this crap and calling it entertainment. Charlie Sheen is about as entertaining as watching the toilet flush or brushing your teeth and about as humorous as as the deficit in America. Gimme a break. Ya'll give him wayyy too much credit. That's why he's a rich crack headed self absorbed fligmo flake with delusions of grandeur and the rest of ya'll are wondering how you're going to make your Honda payments. Yawn boring, next.

Everyone has a right to believe what they want, but personally I watched 2 1/2 men for the last few years because of Charlie Sheen. I like Alan, Jake, the Mom and the other characters all added to the show, but for me, it was Charlie Sheen who was the star. I wish there could be a "Bewitched" moment and we could have Charlie back as the star of 2 1/2 Men. Good luck Charlie, I will be watching your new show because you have a lot of charisma and talent. Goodbye 2 1/2 men, it was good while it lasted. May God bless you Charlie Sheen.
