Alan Ball, the mastermind behind True Blood and Six Feet Under, is developing a scripted dramedie for Skinemax Cinemax with hopes to begin shooting in the Spring.

Banshee is the story of an ex-con who poses as a murdered sheriff to execute his own justice. Unfortunately, this story has nothing to do with the supernatural. Boo.

While no rumors of big cast leads have leaked yet, we do know he's developing the story with writers Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler.

So if he moves on to a new show at Cinemax, how will this affect his time with True Blood?

According to him, it won't. In fact, he's super close to making a deal for a fifth season of vampire magic.

    What a tricky headline. I was under the impression he was actually moving everything to cinemax.
