Baby Jennifer Grey Supports Dirty Dancing Remake!

She's no fool! No one puts Baby in a corner when there might be a cameo to be had! DUH!!!

We sense there are more than a few of you out there who are outraged by the fact that Dirty Dancing, the iconic romantic film featuring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze, will be remade for a new generation. We feel your pain, but how about we join hands and hearts and voices (voices, hearts and haaands) and follow Jennifer's lead on this. She seems to think this is going to be a good thing.

She released a statement shortly after the news broke about the film, saying:

“I’m so excited about this news, and I think there’s nobody better to do this than my beloved Kenny Ortega who is as responsible as anyone for the success of the first one. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to do with it.”

Now, Francis makes a good point. Kenny did do wonders with the first film. Every moves she made, ever vow Johnny made - you were watching Kenny's incredible work.

Still, its hard to believe that the chemistry and the romance of the first one could ever be recaptured again. It seems so unlikely.

"Every moves she made … ?" Even when you try to use the lyrics of a song you get it wrong. Go back to school, Mario; there's just no excuse for how badly and how sloppily you write.

Some movies don't need to be remade. I can't imagine Gone With The Wind, or Grease, or Ghost, or host of other movies that really should be left untouched. Some movies end up with such spectacular chemistry or such fabulous casting and acting that to remake them is almost an insult. Dirty Dancing is, I think, one of those films.

Jennifer Grey is a sweeheart, of course she's not going to say anything bad. It's a horrible idea and she knows it. The actors all had this chemistry, specifically Patrick and Jennifer and nobody else can capture that. This Ortega guy needs to go back to the drawing board……..

I am afraid no one will be Patrick Swayze.

No one and I mean no one can replace Patrick or can the remake be as good as the original. Not even close. The actors nowadays are only doing it for the money. Years ago the actors acted because they loved what they were doing. They performed with their entire body and soul and you could see it. The pay they received was no where near what the so called actors are getting now and most of them are fake and phoney or reality wannabes. I wish they would just let these classic movies alone and put a plug in their brains and come up with a good movie besides warlocks, vampires and ppl acting stupid and dumb down. It's all crap.

    "Shawnaaa…"

    Fantasy casting:

    Derek Hough as Johnny Castle

    Zac Efron as Baby

Maybe she's all for it because she's knows it will suck, thus causing everyone to search out the original, giving her more publicity. Who knows…it's a moronic idea. You can't touch that movie.

You'd have to be a pretty big douchebag to accept Patrick Swayze's original role. I don't even know who you will be, and you already suck.

Dirty dancing sucked the first time…don't do it again

She ruined the movie for me. She was so ugly back than, now she looks so much better, I don't know whether she had plastic surgery or she just aged well. But I didn't want to identify with her character because of that.
