new deets on sean hayes upcoming nbc show

Welcome back, Sean…almost!

Earlier this month, we learned that NBC was developing a new sitcom concept with Will & Grace alum Sean Hayes, and we were VERY excited to hear it!

Now, we're thrilled to announce that his sitcom deal is making progress, and Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan & writer Michael Wimer are close to signing on to the project.

Here's the logline for the new show:

The untitled family comedy follows two men tasked with raising a 12 year old. If that broadcast sitcom concept sounds familiar, it’s because you haven’t heard the twist yet: The two dads are a gay couple.

Sean Hayes is PERFECT for this! We can't wait!!!!

Are U excited for Sean to return to TV???

Love him - I will definitely check it out.

Another GAY TV show. WTF? Go to LOGO! This shit is getting so old and distasteful. Can we PLEASE….be more creative? Here's the real shocker- I'm sure there will be surprise "guest" appearances from Megan Mullally, Eric McCormack, and Debra Messing. Another snooze on Thursday night.

love him, but this sounds like "Modern Family–the special extended edition". Better be fresh. What will the rest of America think they need to learn about this type of family that modern Family doesn't already show.

Safe concept. He tried playing straight in Promises Promises and it didnt really work. Should be a fun show.
