Johnny Depp's Lone Ranger Director Fighting To Keep It Alive!

Gore Verbinski Johnny Depp

Despite Disney dropping the ball on The Lone Ranger film due to budget constraints, Gore Verbinski isn't going down without a fight!

The director behind The Mexican, The Ring, Rango, and Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3 is ready to meet Disney's demands by working vigorously toward an amicable goal.

The original budget proposal involved $250m, which would require an $800m box office score to make a profit.

Disney knows Johnny Depp is one of the world's largest film gems, but they still didn't think that meant he could wrangle in $800m in.

So what's a Gore to do? He's already trimmed fees by $10m in only a short, few days. If he can cut it by another $20-25m, then he might be able to make it happen.

We've got our fingers crossed!

After all of this mess who wants to see it now. Now everyone knows how much the budget is and now we have to guesss it was all a publicity stunt. I can bet you that they will come to a budget by the time Depp finishes filming dark shaddows. Even I can see a publicity stunt when this happens. Now all they had to do was come up with a bogus story let it run awhile and then come up with a budget cut just in time to make the movie. They have a few weeks to change their mind and I can bet they do. I dont want to see it now if they got Brad Pitt to play Ranger and had him and Depp makeout together. To obvious now what is going on. Depp already got some upfront money for signing on so he got paid and I bet it wasnt chump change. So you better believe they will make it. Just they have to play with fans minds some first.
