Russell Armstrong's Family Looking To Sue Bravo For His Suicide.

| Filed under: Legal MattersR.I.P.Sad SadReal HousewivesReality TV

This situation just keeps getting more and more tragic.

In light of the suicide of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband, Russell, it appears that his family is putting the blame on Bravo for pushing him to his emotional and mental limit, and is considering pressing charges against the network!

Russell's step-brother Wade Jackson explains:

“Bravo is at fault and somebody needs to pay. Russell’s whole family was very close and they’re considering suing Bravo. Russell’s dad doesn’t want to talk about what happened to him with a lot of people, but everyone in the family thinks that Bravo is to blame. I’m sure somebody will sue them. In his line of business he didn’t want to be a public person on the show, but Taylor pushed him into it. He was really upset about the whole thing and told everyone in the family that he didn’t want to be on the show. He was a smart guy. The whole family is sad about his death and they want answers.”

We understand that it's completely natural for people to look for someone or something to blame when something like this happens, but unfortunately, we hope that they come to understand that regardless of what his reasoning was, Russell made the choice to appear on the show HIMSELF, and whatever reasons he had for taking his own life, no one and nothing else is responsible for that.

What matters now is that ALL of his family and loved ones stand together and support one another during this impossibly difficult time. We're sure that's what he would have wanted.

Stay strong.

Good I hope they win and Bravo goes bankrupt so they can't put on any more of these fucking awful Fake Plastic Fame Whore shows

  2. 2

Why the fuck are you reporting on this like some A lister just died..He was a greedy twat married to a greedy fame whoring skank. Neither of these people deserve fame. Who cares about this guy. Who cares about the desperate housewives LMAO..They are all just tired rundown fame whores that seek fame but have no talent. Every single one of them has had more surgeries on their face and tits than I have fingers and toes.

  3. 3

I'm sorry, but he was a GROWN MAN. If he didn't want to be on that show, he didn't have to be. I imagine he had to sign the contracts, waivers, payment agreements…Please. I'm sure his family is hurting, but this is ridiculous…if it's true.

  4. 4

I agree with Blaakq. The law suit has no merit. He signed a contract. It wasn't Bravo's fault that he had debt and had marriage problems. He apparently had emotional issues as well. I hope the family loses this ridiculous lawsuit. They just want the money Russell doesn't have anymore.

  5. 5

Um gee I wonder what "charges they want pressed" against bravo? If taylor kept telling lies about him, he could of sued, like U are saying his family wants to.

  6. Beccx says – reply to this

God forbid Russell be accountable for his own actions. Bravo never forced him to sign a contract. If the family was soooo close, why didn't anyone notice that Russell was suicidal? Give me a break. Anyone in that family that tries to sue Bravo is just looking for some time in the spotlight.

  7. 7

Oh I totally believe the part about his wife pushing him into it. Totally.

  8. 8

They can sue, but I DOUBT they'll win! He made the choice to be on the show. He didn't have to be! Dana's husband from Real Housewives of New Jersey didn't want to be on the show, and he wasn't!

  9. 9

If Taylor forced him (where are your balls dude..man up) into the show then why aren't they suing Taylor……..I am sure she is getting life insurance.

Bravo did not hold a gun to Taylor's head….she wanted the fame.

Re: NookiesWA – I'm thinking the same thing.I didn't know who this guy was because I don't watch the stupid show. All the celebrity shows are talking about this guy like he was George Clooney.

  11. 11

I don't see how Bravo was to blame. But the quote does say that they need someone to blame.

  12. 12

I feel sorry for his family, but they were voluntarily on the show. Bravo didn't create his financial problems and they did not force him or Taylor to be on the show.

  13. 13

Re: vanhelsing bride – I think an a-listers would have more protection in place against gossip sites throwing mudd at them, made up stories. Some fringe reality guy gets hits all day with made up stories.

  14. 14

Wow! No accountability when he took the wussy way out and it's somebody else's fault he killed himself?? Weak, very weak, sounds like a money grab to me.

  15. 15

nobody takes any personal responsibility anymore - Bravo didn't force Taylor to be on the show - Bravo didn't force Russell to spend WAY more money than he had

  16. 16

Fucking spare me! Bravo didn't put the rope around his neck! Totally pathetic…

  17. 17

He didn't have to be on the show if he didn't want to. He signed a contract to be paid for being on the show.

  18. 18

He CHOSE to be on that ridiculous show; he was a grown man and responsible for his choices. He CHOSE to kill himself; again, he was a grown man and responsible for that choice, too. It's regrettable that he killed himself, but I have little sympathy for him OR for his "family" looking to make a killing from a network because Armstrong didn't have the balls to face his problems. I hope the network wins.

  19. 19

Bravo had nothing to do with it dummies he agreed to do this crappy fuckng show nobody held a gun to his head…(doesn't matter now anyway though does it). I know they want get a red cent and to that I say Bravo!

  20. 20

It was that hideous whore Taylor that pushed him over the edge, not BRAVO! She spent all of his money and then she was gone.

  21. 21

Lawsuit has no merit. Rest in peace Russell.

  22. 22

not even sure who this person is but i hope they stop these stupid reality shows now.

  23. 23

Sorry but the only person to blame for Russell's suicide is Russell.
No one forced him to be on TV. No one forced financial troubles on him. No one forced his to be married to that scary looking Taylor. He gave no thought to his family or children, He only thought of himself.

  24. 24

He was a grown man and if he didn’t want to be on the show he should have put his foot down.. Kelsey Grammer didn’t want to be show either and had very few scenes with him in them.. he could have done the same.. shame on them..

  25. 25

Sounds like some people feel guilty about not paying attention to Russell when he was alive — and now need to blame Taylor and/or Bravo to make themselves feel better.

With regard to Bravo, who better for the moneygrubbers to blame? Turning Russell's selfish (especially where his kids are concerned) cowardly act into a payday says more about the people who sue Bravo than anyone else.

Of course, for the a'holes who want to blame Taylor, they probably see this crap as a fine way to hurt her too but keeping this season of RHBH off the air.

    Screw 'em.

What matters is how Russell treated people when he was around and, unfortunately, how he apparently couldn't handle having some dirty little secrets come to the light, to the point he'd abandon Kennedy and his sons and leave them — and the guy generous enough to give him a place to stay — this kind of nightmare and legacy to deal with. Selfish and unfeeling to the end, when it comes to others, eh, Russ?

  26. 26

another fucking loser kills himself, now lets go blame someone else and collect the BIG BUCKS(tm)

  27. 27

I think, and have thought for a long time, that these so called 'reality shows' will need to take greater responsibility for the impact they have on the lives of the participants. 'Choice' becomes relative when you sign onto one of those projects. A huge part of their entertainment factor involves humiliation of people who have to go on and lead regular lives. These shows are a social problem.

  28. 28

Stop posting about this dude. I'm sorry he's dead but who the hell even knows who he is?

  29. 29

Yeah, good luck with that. Bravo didn't force him to be on the show. He lost his wife cause he was a jerk and his money cause he/and his wife lived beyond their means. We hardly even saw him on air. He was afraid of the things that would come out in the new season and he freaked out. He was a vain man who only cared about appearances. He couldn't stand being portrayed as less than what he thought of himself. I bet that Bravo is scrambling like mad to edit the show in a different way in light of this tragedy. They don't want to come across as the big bad meanies.

  30. 30

Ridiculous. People have to take responsibility for themselves. The family are just passing the buck and playing the blame game. No-one with emotional problems should go anywhere near a trashy reality show, where the whole point is to show people's flaws for entertainment. He knew what he was getting into. This is as silly as David Carradine suing his production company because he privately masturbated himself to death. This is probably some sort of expression of guilt, as the family didn't realize he was so depressed & help him more. Are they also going to sue everyone who ever said anything nasty to him?

  31. 31

And now we know this is total bullshit, since little sis is opening her mouth. And ummm, if he's so smart, how does anyone talk him into anything? If he had half a brain he'd say no, but obviously booty and boobs cloud judgement. Sorry family….he knew what he was getting into. The guy was effed up….can't blame that on anyone except him for not getting help and taking the cowardly way out.

  32. 32

Re: kittendom – and there is a huge paycheck that goes with that. They know what they are getting into unless they are living under a rock.

  33. 33

These reality shows aren't going away until people STOP WATCHING THEM, which is not likely since society seems to feed off the pain and sorrow of others. Makes their own pitiful lives seem better.

  34. 34

He gave them permission to shoot his life so how in the hell can they have been responsible for his death? When he didn't want to be filmed he wasn't. This is a ridiculous way to try to get a buck.

  35. 35

This is just ridiculous. There have been a quite a few husbands and children I haven't ever seen on the Housewives shows because they didn't want to be. That's his decision to have been on the show, and if Taylor "forced" him into it, then it's her fault too. It's not Bravo's.

  36. 36

um FUCK that. He chose to be on tv and also chose to kill himself. also, (it is sad) BUT why are you reporting on this so damn much? he wasn't a fucking celebrity by any means.

  37. 37

Ummm I think Taylor Armstrong is to blame, she was the one that destroy his name in Hollywood and in the media by saying he was physical with her and abused her. Abuse is NEVER right but I think Taylor being a public figure should of NOT said anything until the divorce was finalized. Leaving him when he was down and then go on national TV and say he abused her….I would blame Taylor Armstrong.

  38. 38

So sue a company because their son WILLINGLY signed papers to appear on the show and ruin a company because he decided he wanted to be selfish and kill himself?

  39. Mel_L says – reply to this

Are they even in mourning or just seeing dollar signs? I guess suing is the new mourning.. yeah, that's just brilliant.. IDIOTS! They're a bunch of greedy people who will benefit from his death in any way possible. How deplorable!

  40. 40

No one tied the noose and hung him. He made that decision all on his own. Sue Bravo? Come on….thats a stretch. No one can FORCE or LEAD someone to kill themselves….unless they are sitting there with a gun to their head threatening to do it themselves maybe. He was an unhappy weak person obviously who took this way out. Now I say it again, SHUT THE FUCK UP about it Perez. You keep saying how its so sad, and people should give the family peace, but yet minute after minute you are posting any sleazy bit of gossip you can find out about the guy.

  41. 41

Seriously? Their relative dies and they're wondering how much money they can get out of it?
