Teen Stabs Grandmother And Great-Grandmother…Over Halo!

It's unbelievable to us what some people are capable of - and all over a video game, no less.

A 14-year-old Georgia teenager reportedly wounded his grandmother and killed his great-grandmother when he stabbed them both with a "34 to 36 inch sword" on Monday, and all because he was angry that they told him to playing Halo!

Futhermore, when authorities arrived on scene, the teen shot at them with a pellet rifle, which was followed by a 10-15 minute standoff while the poor woman was barricaded inside the house. Police finally subdued the kid with a Taser.

Clearly, this kid's issues go far beyond just a video game, and we sincerely hope that he comes to understand the gravity of what he's done, and is punished for his crimes accordingly.

Such an unnecessary tragedy.

"and all because he was angry that they told him to playing Halo!" Huh? Try proof reading, dude.

I can't remember a time when you posted a story that didn't have some sort of typo in it. Get it together man.

  3. 3

if your going to try to "report" about things other than Lady Gaga's shit color this morning, the least you could do is proofread.

  4. 4

oh come one.. stop being babies.. he forgot a word.. it's not like you did't get what he was saying because of it..

From the smack talk on Halo it makes perfect sense these are the kind of douche bags that play that game.

Okay so you are all complaining about a journalist "missing" one word in a story. What is the BIG deal! You are missing the point of the story a kid disturbingly killed his great grandmother and injured his grandmother in a fit of rage over a video game! Get your priorities straight!

Btw Perez I wanted to thank you for pointing out that there is something clearly wrong with the kid instead of just blaming it all on the video game. Most journalist blame the "Game" which is so not true. I know plenty of parents that let their kids play games and don't have problems like this. I think it boils down to communication and love. I am not saying the kid did not receive ample love from his family but there has to be something going on for the kid to react like this for simply not getting his way. Thank you Perez and keep up with the good work!

A kid violently kills someone with a sword but yet everyone is commenting on this guy's bad grammar when you could EASILY EASILY understand what he meant to say..It's not like he typed DsdjflskdjflsSDKDJOHHISUM1DIEZ..Idiots ALL OF YOU.

To the dumbasses that don't understand the importance of a word or spelling -

If it was the occasional mistake people wouldn't bring it up. It's every post and usually multiple mistakes are made. If mario and you dumbasses want me to taking his "reporting" seriously, the least he could do is properly "report" it. Until then, I'll point out what a dumbass he is and you can continue to waste your time sharing your opinion on me.

proof reading is a wonderful thing, kind of changes the whole focus of the story by leaving out Stop.

Re: SINfully Vixen – I think the real tragedy here is that you called Perez a "journalist"!! Are you out of your mind?? And, if he were actually anything even close to an actual journalist, he would have reported the much more important part of the story, which was the fact that this kid had a history of violence, and attacked his grandmother with a sword previously. The videogame part of this story, which everyone seems to be reporting on, has nothing at all to do with it, and was merely the catalyst on this particular occasion. Just another example of the media pushing their own agenda instead of the true issue of the story.

That's terrible… Rip to lives lost. I don't have kids yet but if my child was to attack me for saying no to a stupid game I swear to God I won't give a shit about the law against hitting a child, I will bring an ass whooping that my child would never forget.

First of all if you think your beyond Perez and are going to criticize his spelling over the point of the story go to another site! Plain and simple. It's just funny how you all can criticize him but you come to his site and view and obviously more than once because you went through the trouble of setting up an account to leave you snide remarks on here, lol.

Btw Perez purposefully misspells words for the irony of the story, guess no one gets his sense of humor. Guess you guys need one!

Re: HoneyBadgerGirl – I was thinking the exact same thing.

Good grief, get an editor. 'They told him to playing halo?'

A kid raised to respect and value life wouldn't be likely to do something like this; although teenagers tend to lack self control under the best conditions because their brains aren't finished growing, and add hormones.

Re: April 20th – Come on, don't be a hypocrite now. You even misspelled "you're". Who are you to correct anyone's grammar?
