Did Lil Wayne And Drake Copy Smaller Artist?

| Filed under: Music MinuteKaty PerryLil WayneDrakeKesha

Looks like we have another Tik-Tok/California Gurls situation on deck, but this one actually hurts!

J-Lie has made a video announcement to let the world know his feelings on Lil Wayne's new song with DrakeShe Will.

According to him, it's the same beat he used for a song he recorded five months ago, and somehow it's been stolen.

Wanna see what else he says? Wanna hear both tracks? Watch the video above!

What do U think? Are they the same song?

If you're so pissed about people's beats sounding like yours, then why don't you fucking make some music that contains more than just a goddamn beat?

  2. 2

wow… That's crazy. But, like he said, it's sad but that's the industry. At least he took it well.

    Who cares

most rap music sounds the same in this country anyway. all lil wayne songs especially, all the fucking same beat.

Does anyone else think this dude looks like a chick with a need to wax her upper lip?

Yaknow for a while there I was getting fucking sick of hearing random people talking about this one and that one stealing their stuff and then when you play it, it either sounds nothing alike or it sounds like shit anyways. But OMG this guy is awesome. I've been replaying this song over and over. He's got good flow. Maybe if Wayne sees this and the guy is unsign, he'll get signed cus he's good.

Whoa!!! It sounds EXACTLY like it. That couldn't just be coinsidence. Imagine his friend's reaction when he was like "uhh, how did this happen, they're too famous?" He's being surprizingly cool about it, but, i mean, what can you do…it's Lil Wayne, it's Drake. Just sucks for him, I guess.

Anything for a minute of fame… oh, times up.

THAT'S REAL DIRTY [OF WAYNE AND DRAKE]–Way to keep it hood (not)! Guess this is one reason people really hate the big music industry and prefer to go the indie route. I used to think Drake and Wayne were original and creative people; now, I think they are just two spoiled, bitches/BULLIES! They least they could do is give the guy some credit and send a paycheck.

By the way, this is like the rap boys' version of the cheer flick BRING IT ON!

They should pay this dude. That's just dirty. It's definitely his beat.

We should hold celebrities, musicians and artists to some caliber of integrity…i mean these are the people teens are idolizing yet they aren't held accountable for the things they do …i mean what a way to piss on morals, responsibility, and ethics.. I mean just today I read an article that Wayne had sex with a 16 yr old girl who has pictures up on her fb of them in his hotel room…and we wonder why our children's behavior and moral compasses are gone to shit!!!

  14. 14

Lil Wayne and Drake should def give him a kick back!

  15. 15

Stealing and copying?? You just know Gaga is behind this!! lmfao!!

Re: POPSCIDICTATOR:( I wish I could like your comment more than once. Lawlz.

That is the same beat but, you can't blame Lil Wayne or Drake cuz the don't go and find beats themselves, they have people for that. It would be kinda messed up if they didn't send him a check, tho.

Judging by all the comments, nobody seems to really know how the industry works. T-Minus obviously sent the beat out to numerous people, as most producers do. Did this idiot pay for the beat? NO. Did Wayne and Cash Money? YES. Therefore, it's Wayne's record, and not this clown's. It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

  19. 19

WHY would they give this idiot rapper any money? All he did was rap over a producer's beat. The producer got paid for it by Wayne. This guy did NOT produce the beat for "She Will". T-Minus did.
