Despite a variety of rumors, that have all been running rampant since it was announced that the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards would be paying tribute to Britney Spears, Selena Gomez has come forward to deny that she will be taking part in the performance, and will instead only be presenting!
"I will be presenting, but I won't be performing. That's awesome [that people think that], but no."

What thunder? At the most, they'll spend at the most 5-10 minutes showing old clips of Britney in her glory days and Britney will come out in a daze to accept her award, or some up and comer will probably come out talking about how "inspirational" Britney was to her career, Madonna will probably come out trying to compare her backstory like she tried to do with Michael Jackson ("So Was i"). In other words, don't expect much.
