12-Year-Old Extreme Couponer Puts Everyone Else To Shame

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueEtc.Business Blitz

What were you doing at 12 years old?

Not saving your family thousands of dollars, that's what.

12-year-old Jessica has an interesting hobby: couponing.

She spends up to 3 hours a day clipping and organizing coupons and has saved her family over $4,000 in groceries since she began her obsession three years ago.

Her parents don't mind that she spends a good majority of her time clipping and organizing because it's teaching her math skills. Go math!

Ch-ch-check out how Jessica gets it done (above) and watch in awe.

Re: kbyersobrien – sad you have to put others down to make yourself feel beter

  6. 6

    Go OCD!

  7. 7

Actually kbyersobrien, you will die alone before she does. NookiesWA is right in stating that 98% of women are gold digging whores. This little girl is learning early in life to be wise with hard earned cash. I could take some lessons from her myself. She will make a lucky guy very happy one day. Good for you Jessica.

  8. 8

Good for her, she'll do well in life.

By the way, Piggie, her name is Jessa, not Jessica. You'd think with all the money you make from shamelessly promoting shit you could at least hire an editor to proofread shit.

  9. 9

    She is made of awesome!

  10. 10

    Smart consumer.

Re: NookiesWA – Why would you talk about your mom and grandma and daughter like that?

    Re: NookiesWA – fuck off

  13. 13

Re: notler – 100% of people who believe that shit are complete morons. get a life. NookiesWA is a gross misogynist who spews filthy garbage on a daily basis. choo guys are idiots.

  14. 14

Weird. I bet that family bought a whole lot of stuff they didn't want or need because of her little hobby. Those things only entice people to buy stuff they otherwise wouldn't have.

  15. 15

Awesome, Printapon saves me time and money! You can see the coupons instantly and don't have to search for ones.

  16. 16

Re: kbyersobrien – die alone???? She is gonna be rich! with those skills she can study looots of things and be good at it.

  17. 17

Step outta that kitchen hon. Women's lib has set you free!!

  18. 18

It always seems like the coupons make you buy stuff you don't really need or wouldn't have bought otherwise. I always only buy what I can eat or use up until next time and I end up spending less than what I would have spent with the coupons.

  19. 19

Re: raccoon baby – I honestly think coupons are for people who arent picky at all. Many coupons are just for the trashiest food. Some are good deals but not very often. Still tho saving some money is good, just not at the expense of your health.
Pity we dont really have that coupon method in here or I would actually save some. But I do save a lot of money by recycling!.

  20. 20

there arent coupons for anything worth buying so Yay for her helping her family buy crap they don't need or want

  21. 21

    Must be a home schooler!!

  22. 22

    GET A LIFE

  23. 23

I find this hilarious how nobody picked up on the part where she stated she donates things to charity and enjoys helping others.

  24. 24

Handed her a newspaper to keep her busy? Don't spoil the girl…

  25. 25

Whenever I get a coupon I feel awkward, if I've got something in the sale I almost never ask for my student discount off on top of that because the assistants give you dirty looks.

  26. 26

You know this show fucked the rest of us….now when I read my coupons (in California) they are printing on them that they cannot be combined with other coupons or can be used only by one person….they never stated that before this damn show came out….thanks a lot.

  27. 27

Having excess will make you consume more than you should. They're examples of that.

  28. 28

the part that I don't get in all this is that coupons normally can't be combined or that you are limited to a certain number per household… so WTF?

  29. 29

Its cool that she saves money or whatever but honestly shes a little girl! She should be out with her friends playing and whatnot ,not shopping for paper towels & cheap airwicks!

  30. 30

She's been doing this for 3 years, spends up to 3 hours a day doing it and has saved less than $4,000? Granted there are far worse activities for children, but what a waste of time.

I'm all for being frugal, but this sort of excessive coupon stuff is inefficient and stupid. If you've the coupon show on whatever channel, these women essentially make the mundane task of collecting newspaper, cutting out coupons and looking for deals at least a part time job…they spend 70 hours to save at most a few hundred dollars at a grocery store, and what do they end up buying? 30 Detergents, 50 gatorades, and a bunch of other stupid shit they'll never need.

  31. 31

I didn't need to save my parents money by sacrificing my life. They made sure they gots them schoolins and provided for me, hence I could do what other 12 year olds do… play, go to school, and not end up dying alone, fat in a Hoveround with cats. I apologize to fat people in Hoverounds with no educations and cats FYI.

  32. 32

Re: jessie1090 – sad, you know it's true. Now go feed your cats.

  33. 33

Re: notler – no, she will die alone. People that get college educations, the right jobs, and move out of the trailer park (hint hint) don't need to spend their waking moments clipping coupons.
