New Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde Adaptation Headed To ABC

jekyll and hyde adaptation coming to abc

Looks like Hollywood's ready to take another crack at this classic tale!

Over the past couple of years, there were a couple of different Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde remakes in the works, but none of them ever actually happened. Sorry Fiddy!

Before that, there were countless film adaptations of the Jekyll and Hyde story…there was even one called Dr. Jekyll and Ms. Hyde, where the protagonist turned into a woman!

Now, Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story is headed to ABC in the form of Hyde, a drama being put together by Up in the Air co-writer Sheldon Turner.

Here's how the story is being described:

"[The story] centers on Grant Hyde, a thirtysomething ER doctor with a degenerative eye condition who is conflict-averse and hesitant to be captain of his own destiny. After attempting an experimental treatment to improve his eyesight, he begins to experience a strange side effect — when he goes to sleep, his id manifests itself as Hyde, a fearless, gregarious personality who takes control where Grant cannot."

If done correctly, this COULD be pret-ty cool. Let's hope the Up in the Air writer is UP for the challenge!

What do U think? Are U ready for a new adaptation of the Jekyll and Hyde story???
