Our hearts are still breaking. What a horrible feeling this must be for this poor girl's family.

Twenty four year old Meagan Toothman was pronounced dead last night just shortly before midnight. Meagan had been tragically injured the week previously at the Indiana State Fair when the stage collapsed on her and several other concert goers. Her injuries ended up being too severe to recover from.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to this young girl's family. We're so unspeakably sorry for your loss of someone so young.

"Indiana State Police says previously reported 7th fatality after stage collapse was incorrect. Woman is alive, but death is imminent." - this was at 11am EST on Monday August 22nd.

The family decided to donate her organs. I think it's amazing they chose do that and can help another life. It's such a tragic accident, but out of it I think as a state, Hoosiers came together to help. The footage of people running towards the stage to help is amazing.

Stop telling the reader what they're supposed to feel before the headline. If it's Sad! or Good News! the headline will speak for itself - unless you think you're readers are so stupid they won't know the difference between something that's Sad! and something that's Happy!

I don't understand: if you don't like Perez's site, his comments, reporting or anything about him why are you on here? to be a blow hard? so tired of reading negative things about him, stay off his site if you don't like him.

this report is absolutely correct, how dare you be so insensitive. if you'd really like to know she went to my high school and is close to many many many members of our community. she has been taken off life support and we hope that she may rest in peace. any hate or rude comments should be deleted off of here perez, it is offensive to myself and the others that knew and loved her. so @theexperience go fuck yourself for being so rude and careless, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Re: hendrixlove4 – Unfortunately there are some really mean, crazy and stupid people out there. Unfortunately, blog sites such as this one and others give them a platform to show their ignorance, I would not worry about it if I were you because these people are too crazy to care. I lived in Indianapolis for most of my life and have been to that very fair ground many times, I know it is a devastating event and it has affected many people's life. Hopefully something good will come out of this trajedy that can honor the lives that were lost and the people that were injured. Just stay close to your family and friends, Don't pay any attention to these rude and cruel crazy people, there are too many of them out there. Don't be surprised if you see more insensitive comments.

Meagan as a cheerleading coach at a local high school in the Cincinnati, OH area. The news tonight stated she was being kept alive by life support so her organs can be donated. She suffered traumatic brain injury. Her students were told today on their first day of school that she is going to die and they held a vigil at the school for her. Very sad….
