Barbarian Flash Mob Baptizes "Marcus Bachmann" To Lady GaGa's Born This Way

| Filed under: Gay Gay GayMusic MinutePolitikLady GaGaLGBT

A barbarian horde was spotted outside of Michele and Marcus Bachmann’s “gay conversion” clinic. The flash mob protest was inspired by Marcus Bachmann’s comment that gays are “barbarians who need to be disciplined.”

Wow. Just wow.

The “horde” stood outside the office, chanting, “You can’t pray away the gay, baby I was born this way!”

Finally, “Marcus” confronted the horde, trying to pray away their gay. As one would expect, the barbarian horde didn’t submit. They instead began a fabulously choreographed dance to Lady GaGa's Born This Way then baptized him in glitter. This of course led “Marcus” to join their ranks.

One of the even organizers, Nick Espinosa, said:

"Let's be clear: Marcus Bachmann is the practitioner of an unhealthy, unscientific and dangerous practice. It seems all too convenient that the minute Michele Bachamann becomes a candidate for President Marcus starts making a desperate attempt to walk back his previous statements."

Well said!

It’s hard to believe bigots like them could end up in the white house.

Who’s the real barbarian here? Do U think the flash mob got their point across?

    Nothing like gay harrassment…….

really…..don't any of these people have jobs?????

real men take pride in working not living off of unemployment.

  2. 2

90% of gay men and women were either sexually abused, emotionally abused or physically abused as children and they never got therapy for it…….

because if all of you were happy with your lives because "you were born this way" you wouldn't be caring what others thought about you and going around doing this type of stuff……THE MORE YOU KNOW…..

  3. 3

All you are also a bunch of morons……..Rick Perry will be our next president not this woman so why are you bothering with her??????

Your're going after the wrong person.

  4. 4

    Just another pointless GaflopGa post.

the bachmanns should feel lucky that gay people are protesting their hatred and bigotry with dancing and glitter and not with bricks and firebombs. i'm sure it took all the willpower marcus bachmann has to not join in when he heard that dance beat. probably looked like that scene from kevin kline's movie "In and Out".

Can I say how much I love the good humour demonstrated by the gay protesters here. Fantastic way to make a statement (unlike the bigoted scenes outside the first NY gay marriages during the last month). With them all the way. She cannot be allowed anywhere near the White House.

Gays need to stop using glitter as a form of social protest, it just feeds into a negative stereotype. I mean seriously, did Dr. King throw fried chicken at people? No, of course not, because it would have been stupid, stereotypical, and offensive. And, on top of all that, it would have been annoying and unproductive. I feel bad for the majority of reasonable gay people that have to represented by people like this.

Re: AttFinchRe: Lozza1983 – I agree with you two. Good for them for doing a fun protest. As for the Bachmanns and their DADT marriage - they need to held accountable for their discrimination.

@ Kim K's SAGGY Ass - 90%?!?! You can't just pull statistics out of your ass, idiot.
Re: AttFinch – Such a good movie! :)

"nothing like gay harassment" i couldn't agree with you more Kim K's SAGGY Ass, why do Michele Bachman and Rick Perry keep harassing gay people. oh i forgot, it's because they are fake christians, and if they were actually happy with their own lives they wouldn't be caring about what other people do in their bedrooms.

Re: yeez – I try to say stuff like this all the time on his gay rights posts. A lot of things the gay community does I think sets them back as well because it plays into stereotypes. A shame really, and I hope at some point people realize this and get their act together so that there can be equality. Playing into the stereotypes placed on you does not get you anywhere.

  13. 13

see, its stuff like this that pisses people off. if the gay community wants complete acceptance then perhaps they should consider holding fire on the stereotypes for a bit. if they want complete social acceptance and integration then they need to integrate. throwing glitter, worshipping gaga and turning up the camp will only get people's backs up. i have absolutely nothing against the gay lifestyle, gay adoption or gay marriage. in fact a gay couple are hosting my wedding next month. however, i don't appreciate the lack of imagination that seems to come with being gay nowadays. do they send you a kit in the post containing a gaga cd, a feather boa and lesson in how to "sashay"? stop adhering to the stereotype! think for yourself, drop the act and you will find social acceptance a hell of a lot quicker!

Re: yeezRe: AshleyDuh – Yes, but it seems to me that it is the outgoing, extroverted types who prepared to stand up and make a statement. These flamboyant ones are laying the groundwork - and as things improve and discrimination is lessened, then more people will join in and things will become more mainstream. This happened with the suffragette movement of the early 20th century - the early protesters were quite outrageous, and as they gained acceptance and the movement gathered momentum, it became more about the average woman - not just the rebel.

Re: AttFinch – LOL usually I detest everything you do.. but the glitter comment did make me laugh. Re: yeez – LOL… Did Martin Luther king throw fried chicken.. too FKN funny! .. Two of the best comments I've seen all day.

  16. 16

Amazingly fab way to turn such negative and hate filled ignorant statements into a beutiful and positive protest. Any protest which doesn't involve violence is classy, but one which involves dancing just wins.

Flash mobs should be shot with a machine gun.

    Re: yeez
Reasonable gay people? And what the hell are they doing? Not a damn thing! While the reasonable gay men were secretly sucking dicks in bathhouses and stalls, the drag queens and "stereotypical" gays were the ones who instigated the Stonewall riots that served as the catalyst for the past and present gay rights movement. It's the flamboyant gays and lesbians that you see out there marching for gay rights and actually getting things done, not the bisexuals, or the closeted, "masculine" or "straight-acting" men who would rather spend their time on Grindr or Adam4Adam, all the while benefiting from the hard work of the type of people you seem to want to condemn. Oh yeah, and your fried chicken comment was lame.

  20. 20

I am straight and I appreciate this "Flash" mob way too much. It is a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek response to impossible bias and prejudice. Way too much fun and such a great way to respond, glitter and all.

  21. 21

Genious! loves it….perfect way to express your beleifs without being violent or a jerk…

  22. 22

flash mobs are so food trucks and social networking sites, last century

  23. 23

Get it gays! Practicing peaceful protest is one of the classiest moves.

  24. 24

love. I was one of the barbarians, and I hope u all know there were straight, bi, trans, gay individual people who were all doing it for the same reason… Love. Stop the hate, it is not getting us anywhere. Feeding into it only sets us back.
