So disappointing. We really liked her on the show. She was a real key element in making the panel work, we thought.
This morning, Leah Remini made the official announcement via her Twitter that she won't be returning to The Talk this fall. She wouldn't speak to the effect of losing Holly Robinson Peete, but she did take a moment to thank her fans for their support and clarify that she was not asked back - she did not quit. She tweeted:
"It is official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show. Sorry to my fans. U worked so hard! I adore u guys."
As we you, honey!
Shortly after Leah tweeted that out, she was asked by a fan the reason the network gave for giving her the boot. In a disheartening response, she claimed that they gave her "no reason."
We'll tell you the reason - money. Kids, learn this lesson now. Everything is always about money. Too many hosts means too many paychecks. Why pay five when you can pay three?
Despite what Michael Douglas might say, greed is not good. It's moments like this that prove that.
We're sorry for the blow, Leah. We thought you were fabulous beyond compare. Keep your chin up!
