This is most definitely for the best. We can't even imagine the confusion and sadness this poor little girl must be feeling.

In light of her husband Russell's shocking suicide, Taylor Armstrong now has the sole responsibility of helping the couple's five year old daughter, Kennedy, come to terms with the loss of her father by reading her books geared toward children who have lost parents, and will also be putting her into counseling so she can better grasp, and ultimately accept what has happened.

A source explains:

"Kennedy is only five, she understands that Russell has died - however, she keeps asking for him. Taylor has made the decision that Kennedy should see a mental health professional to deal with the loss of her father. Taylor's sole focus right now is taking care of her daughter, and helping her through this very difficult time. Kennedy doesn't know Russell killed himself, Kennedy is just too young to process the idea of suicide. Kennedy will most likely begin therapy sessions in the next week or so. Right now, Taylor is just trying to return to a normal routine for Kennedy's sake."

We really have to commend her for laying low and making sure she's doing everything she can to help little Kennedy.

It can't be easy to cope with such a complicated loss, especially after all the reports coming out regarding their deteriorating marriage, so she should be very proud of herself for pushing through her own pain and grief to keep her daughter's well-being the focus!

Hopefully both of them will be able keep each other strong right now.

Just never stop letting Kennedy know how much her mom loves her, and that she's not ever going anywhere.

We believe in you guys. You'll get through this, and until you do, we'll be keeping you in our thoughts.

Give the child to wolves she would stand a far better chance.

I don't know if not telling her child that her dad killed himself is the best thing for the child. Yes she's young, but I think it'll just hurt even more when she's older when she finds out. Whatever, it's not my kid so she can raise her how she wants… but I think if I was the child I'd be pissed if I hadn't been told from the beginning.

Taylor is only grieving that she can't get his estate money fast enough…..heard she was asking about it a day after the died…

  4. 4

    Poor kid. :(

    nothing brave about her
she was divorcing him so she isn't heartbroken
sad for her child maybe…maybe not
was surprised at what he did ..probably
nervous/afraid there may not be any money left
but far from devastated or brave

Re: *Sloane – You r right except be fair she was heartbroken he was broke.

Imagine that… she has to do what so many others have had to do… but with MEDIA COVERAGE!!! Let her keep milking this, karma's a bitch.

I don't mean to be rude, but millions of bereaved parents do this every day all over the world and they don't get this kind of publicity for it.

CPS must be extra backed up if she still has custody of that poor little girl.

Brave? how about, expected. she's a parent Perez, it's her duty to always put her child first, so this is not an act of bravery, it's motherhood.

  11. 11

First of all- I feel sorry for the little girl. But as for the "Mother"…. That's what MOTHER'S do- they take care of their child's every need.Perez slobbering all over the article makes it sound like some sort of hardship- to "take care" of her FIVE year old. Puh-lease, she only has one child, and she SHOULD have no problems puttng aside her own "grief" to make sur her daughter is ok. Having children is not a right, it's a privelege, a joy, an honor. Yes- you have had it rough Taylor– but suck it up and do what your daughter needs you to be- a MOTHER. This article is an insult to all mothers everywhere, and I am quite insultd at the way it was written. It is made to be like this woman is going above and beyond to take care of her child- which should be her first priority anyway, since she chose to have (and keep) her. Disgusting.

Why is she talking about it at all! What does she want, a medal? She remove herself from the public eye and focus on her family. No sympathy votes for her from me!

  13. 13

Stop the world, a widow is raising her child without a dead father? Cause THAT'S NEVER EVER HAPPENED BEFORE! Good God Perez it's NOT NEWS.

  14. 14

i have no sympathy zero sympathy for this self absorbed woman cry a river .. its ur own fault..!

  15. 15

Gee isn't that what parents are suppose to do. Another talentless hack being courted for fame.

The little girl looks like a blond haired version of GOLEM from the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy. The freak progeny of a couple of ugly, materialistic people so far gone they'd do anything to be on 'the tv'. I wonder if the daughter snatches fish out of aquariums when she's hungry?

I feel AWFUL for the little girl, but no sympathy whatsoever toward Taylor.
While I understand that Russell was abusive (several of his ex-wives, along with Taylor, made this claim…castmates of RHWOBH inquired about her coming to work with black eyes…), SHE chose to stay with him for the money. I used to feel sorry for women like this, but after my "best friend" (ex, obviously), I feel no sympathy for them. When she was paid a compliment on her home (with Russell), she responded, "Yeah, but it isn't $40 million beautiful." She spent more than he made. According to US Weekly, "in the days after Russell's death, an insider says, Taylor was already asking how much money she would get from Russell's estate. Her rep also tried to shop HER story to press outlets for $100,000." Wow. Classy. Poor Kennedy.

@Jake_torso: Pretty sick and pathetic you would resort to making fun of a five year-old. Hate her parents and their mistakes all you want, but she doesn't know what the hell is going on yet. How disgusting and sad that you would make fun of a little innocent CHILD'S appearance!

  19. 19

Well yeah, as the kid's mother, Taylor should be taking care of her daughter…

  20. 20

brave?! she's not brave. she's a mother. she's supposed to take care of her own child.

  21. 21

so doing what a good parent does makes the news? The best thing she could do is STOP making that hideous TV show….that would be good parenting
