Discovery Channel Orders Used Car Salesmen Show

| Filed under: TV NewsReality TV

Carfellas Discover Channel

The Discovery channel knows how to choose shows, so we'll put our doubts aside and trust them on this one.

They've decided to pick up a show about used car salesmen called, you guessed it, Carfellas.

The cable network has ordered 12 episodes of Carfellas, a series centering on reformed ex-con Mike DeLucia, who sells used cars with his pals on Long Island.

The unscripted effort will offer a sneak peak of back to back episodes on August 29 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 pm. It will join Deadliest Catch, Mythbusters and Dirty Jobs, among others series, on Discovery's schedule.

There has always been something interesting about used car salesmen to us, but that's only when we're not dealing with them. Something shady going on there most of the time… though, we're sure that there are great people who do it too, don't get us wrong!

We just haven't really dealt with those ones! Ha!

Will U be tuning in??

uhmmm…. if this show is on discovery's TLC, YOU HAVEN'T BEEN WATCHING IN THE LAST 2 YEARS MARIO!!! Tots and Tiara's- Wanna be moms and dads and future Paris, Kim and Snookis… Sister Wives-supposed to get out the poligamy is not bad-unfortunately they do not show anyone of the large poligamy groups in this country where boys are THROWN out at 18, the husband is 60, wives are 30 years younger, EVERYONE is illiterate, and the whole group is living off welfare, food stamps, bankruptsy, etc. Instead we have the Browns-a dofus Kody and equally stupid 4 wives and their views. Then there is 'My big fat gypsy wedding' british version. But fear not, TLC is looking to cast in the USA! They rarely show the men. WHY? Show gives some reasons, but, Gypsys scam reg. people-chimney scams, driveway scams, roofing scams, etc. DON'T WANT THEIR FACES SEEN. Oh, 'I was pregnant and did not know it' or whatever. and TLC EVEN TURNED ON KATE IN HER LAST FEW EPISODES… Nanny saying how bad it is to work for her…. TLC is becoming MTV, E! No, mario, discovery is not quality anymore. sad.

What's next? A reality show about watching paint dry?

Duh. Do we really need a show to tell us buying a car benefits them? I thought everyone knew that and knew how to negotiate with car dealers. What a concept — huh? They've been ripping people off it for years. If you got ripped off it's because you are dumb! DUMB! DUMB! There are numerous ways to check the true value of a car. Maybe this show will actually help the idiots who have not been paying attention. Go figure.

I work in the car industry (not as a salesperson-so don't beat me up), and I've been saying for awhile someone should do a reality show. But seeing what really goes on behind the scenes I'm quite shocked that someone would really put this out there.

Ok, have any of you actually watched the show yet? NO..Because it hasn't aired yet. I have googled Carfellas and there are clips of the show on Discovery.com, it's hilarious! And they know about cars too. Hence, the "Discovery" factor. People are so quick to judge others, when you don't know what you are talking about. I think the show will be good, a hit actually, and you will all be proven wrong. Just my humble opinion.

All the men in my family are used car salesmen!!! They should have put this show up in Chicago! I'm done with that same ole east cost BS! They're all scammers out there. If someone wanted to see hardworking men make bank off of smart investing into used cars, they should have hit up the midwest. the show theyve got will sink. TBFT!
