And so it begins…

Jeff Ashton, the prosecutor in the Casey Anthony case has confirmed that he's writing a book about the case and is scheduled to be published in November.

There aren't many details about the book, Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony, but we can assume it has a biased look on the subject just by the title alone.

This will preempt the Keith Ablow novel Inside the Mind of Casey Anthony, which will also be released before the end of 2011.

You might remember, Ashton was a veteran Assistant State Attorney who had thirty years of experience. He retired just days after Casey was acquitted of murder of her daughter.

This book is going to be HUGE.

Prosecutors shouldn't write books! They are the good guys, the defense attorneys should write the books, they are the devil, and should seek profit from hideous crimes such as murder! After all , they don't care!

mr. ashton is a great man and a superb lawyer..he lost this case because the jury was to dumb to know that reasonable doubt meant that you are allowed to have that.this man worked for 30 yrs. making peanuts.so if anyone should make some money it,s him.good luck sir.i can,t wait to buy it……..enjoy retirement.

Attorneys cash in enough. They should not be allowed to write books and profit. And frankly, if you want you can read the trial transcripts for free. Why pay for someone's dumb ass book and perspective?

  7. 7

He is a great man and prosecutor! Ill read it!

Re: pollopicu – 100% agree. It's nauseating to see anyone associated with this case try to profit from it.

And the title is "I Got a Fresh, Raging Case of Herpes Each Time Casey Sucked Me Off."

  10. 10

His book I will buy & read. The defence team will NOT see one red cent of my money.

THE DEFENSE ATTORNEY'S BOOK WOULD BE WAAAY BETTER. THEY KNOW THE SHIT THAT ACTUALLY WENT DOWN AND GOT CASEY OFF. THEY KNOW IF SHE IS FUCKING GUILTY OR NOT. THE PROSECUTORS KNOWS SHIT ALL. AFTER ALL HE LOST! OJ JURY REDUX IS ALL IT IS ANYWAY. CONCLUSION: NO MATTER HOW LONG AND TENACIOUS YOU PREPARE FOR A CASE, A GROUP OF STUPID ASS JURORS WILL ALWAYS FUCK IT UP WHEN IT COMES TO THE VOTE COUNT. WHAT ELSE IS NEW… THAT TOOK ALL OF 1 LINE. WHO NEEDS TO READ A RETARDED BOOK TO MAKE HIM RICH, TRUTH!!

Mistakes Ashton made on the Anthony case:
1.Death penalty should have never been on the table.
2.Too much time on new air science, not enough on common sense evidence.
3.Acting like a frat boy laughing in court TWICE at Baez. The jury foreman said the jury disapproved of Ashton's behavior towards Baez.
    4. He should have added illegal burial of a minor.
    5. Stating in the closing statement that chloroform was searched 64 times after the defense had produced a witness that said it had not.
    6. Bringing in Cindy Anthony's boss regarding her work records. Cindy was not on trial and the jury ignored the search evidence.

He dropped the ball in this case big time. He couldn't even relay to the jury "reasonable doubt". That is pretty sad. He did so many things wrong it is pitiful that he still has a job. He should hang his face in shame and leave his positon.

Prosecutors are state employees that make a modest income and, unlike most defense lawyers, do not drive BMWs. Plus, he isn't getting any of the $$ anyway because it's all being donated to a children's charity.
