MTV Has Largest Audience Ever Due To VMAs

| Filed under: MTVMusic MinuteBeyonceAwardzLady GaGa

Lady GaGa as Jo Calderone

You go, Lady GaGa Jo!

The Video Music Awards on Sunday pulled in 12.4 million viewers, the largest MTV had ever seen.

That’s more people than even the biggest Jersey Shore episode!

This years VMAs were up 9% in total viewers from last year. MTV also said the VMAs were the top telecast of this year in their demographic and even the top non-sports cable telecast of this year in total viewers. Wow!

The audience may have been so large due to Lady GaGa’s male alter ego, Jo Calderone, who she was for the entire show. Or maybe the fact that Beyonce announced her pregnancy shortly before the show, which we’re all crazy excited about.

Did U watch the VMAs? How do U think “Jo Calderone” did?

You guys won't want to give Gaga any credit for this…. but y'all know she brings ratings gold. :)

  3. 3

Um no. Gaga isn't far from the only reason people watched. How about giving others a bit of credit. Like it or lump it, the big news of the night was Beyonce's pregnancy. Gaga was just - childish. That's not 'performance art'. That's attention seeking silliness. How about copying and pasting some of the many reviews that talked about how painful Gaga was.

  4. 4

I think it has to do with the fact that the whole show was over hyped.. and to be honest.. it UNDER DELIVERED! Lady gaga's opening monologue was awkward and hardly entertaining- her performance was ok, but again to weird, the Britney Tribute was a less then stellar tribute, hell I'd hardly call it a tribute- and fame whoring gaga wouldn't even let her finish her acceptance speech, which was then turned into a plug for Beyonces performance (where she announced her baby). Jay & Kanye were boring, Chris Brown danced his ass off but failed to sing, Bey's performance was sung beautifully, but wrong choice of song. Amy Winehouse tribute started off good, but could have had a better song choice; & even tho Bruno Mars did a good job- could have picked someone better to perform it. Adele was a bit shaky, but still strong; & Lil Wayne just kinda did Lil Wayne- and the no host thing, just didn't work out. Plus the presenters were pretty irrelevant to music (a buncha tweens from Nickelodeon, reality show stars &unfunny scripted “skits”) People tuned in because MTV promised a fantastic star studded event with a huge Britney/Winehouse tribute- & they failed to deliver. Not exactly the show I was expecting, to say the least.

  5. 5

If Gaga is so proud of how she was born, why is she bringing out this "alter ego" character? Just confusing, if you ask me. All another ploy to bring her attention. Since we were so sick of her ridiculous outfits, she felt the need to hide herself in men's clothes, I guess. The only "trick" she had left up her sleeve. She has so much musical talent, I don't know why she insists on making such an idiot of herself.

  6. 6

haha the only reason i watched was beacsue of Britney

  7. 7

it doesn't have anything to do with lady gaga. (s)he was annoying, that was the only part i DIDN'T watch. i think it has more to do with the britney tribute and the show being way over publicized.

  8. 8

I'm a Gaga fan but this was just stupid!

  9. 9

Gaga or Jo was annoying as fuck.

  10. 10

LOL, people I know turned the channel off BECAUSE of her! It'd be more views without the desperate whole-show-try-to-upstage Annie Lennox with a cheesy character.

I love good drag, but this is a lame corporate attempt at roping in the gay community once again!

  11. 11

    LOL

as a viewer i had NO idea lady gaga would open the VMAs as a man. so .. that's NOT why i watched.. or half america, i can promise you that.

every year MTV hypes up this shit more and more and every year it gets shittier and shittier. it's a contest to see who can wear the most ridiculous outfits and who can act the craziest for attention. it's not about music, art or anything.

and as for the VMAs this year.. i feel like they only focused on 10 celebs. K.Perry, Chris Brown, GAGA/CALDERONE whoeever the fuck, britney, and adele.

where the fuck was everyone else? Rhianna? Eminem? i'm pretty sure they had a good year too..

whatever. i'm sick of hearing about jo calderone KILLIN IT AT THE VMAS BRO! cause she didn't.

  12. 12

um the reason there were so many people watching was because of the britney spears tribute…. gaga is not the reason for everything in this world

  13. 13

lmao ure delusional babe, the only reason was because of BRITNEY'S TRIBUTE AND ATTENDANCE #sitdown

  14. 14

Enough! There are a few people in this world that need their asses kicked, and Lady Gaga is one of them. She needs to drop off the face of the earth. Attention-whore, crack-head….weirdo! Go away!

  15. 15

Ugh. I didn't just watch because of her. I am so sick of you having your head so far up her ass. You might as well rename your website after her. I find her entertaining, but also a lot of other people too. NOT JUST HER PEREZ. I was actually excited to see Jay and Ye' perform and Adele but honestly mostly Britney. I wanted to see the Tribute to her (it was not good btw) and yes Gaga, BUT NOT JUST HER. It wasn't just because of her. I swear I'm this close to being done w this website, it's too much sometimes all of this Gaga stuff. Give us a moment to breathe jeez man.

  16. 16

I thought Gaga's opening act was weird. She pretends to be someone else so that she can talk about herself? Egotistical if you ask me. Why can't she just sing and skip the shtick?

  17. 17

and unfortunately for the mtv the show sucked. The preshow was all about promoting mtv, you didn't see any celebrities until the last 5 minutes, waste of time, and the actual show performance wise was decent, but it was hyped up to be such a spectacular show and it just looked thrown together. Chris brown didn't sing. The rumors that all these celebs were going to sing Britney Spears musice never happened. The tribute was so half assed, and just it was not a good show. I highly doubt the ratings will be anywhere as close to this next year

  18. 18

I am a Gaga fan, but I am afraid the Jumped the Shark this year on the VMA's

  19. 19

The reason MTV had the largest audience ever because of Britney Tribute. It had nothing to do with Gaga/Jo or whatever the hell he/she is.

  20. 20

*** largest audience ever on MTV

NOT largest audience ever on TV

  21. 21

Glee had the best ratings ever when Britney was there. So, it must have anything to do with Brit.Perez is so dumb when it comes to gaga.It was all about britney.

  22. 22

BRITNEY SPEARS presence is the the ONLY thing that draws a crowd… anytime she makes any sort of appearance on anything, records break.. ie…. Glee, How I met your mother, x factor UK and so on… MTV needs to have her name in there to draw the crowd!

  23. 23

People tuned in for MTV because of britney not because of gaga or anyone else.

  24. 24

It was my first time watching it. The Gaga part just annoyed me. I tuned in to see the Britney tribute, which was far from what I expected a tribute to be.

  25. 25

MTV used Britney's tribute to draw audience yet the tribute was so hell disappointment.I was hoping for a very good tribute though.

  26. 26

Gaga's performance really tacky and disgusting last night. I thought she promised great mysterious performance.

  27. 27

Epic Fail perez!!! The ratings were up because of the BRITNEY Spears and Amy Whinehouse tributs period!! No one knew gaga was going to act like a drunken man!! Beyonce also had nothing to do with the ratings!!

  28. 28

yeah a lot of people tuned in for Britney which is why it was so shitty that her tribute wasnt bigger… i was disappointed.

  29. 29

Gaga was the reason I watched. Jo is so entertaining. Gaga rocks as a woman — AND as a man! And no one's ever done that before. It stunned the crowd — a crowd of her peers, no less — and the audience ate it up. Give us more more more, Gaga!

  30. 30

Gaga's performance was so annoying, and she was so weird the entire night. She made the whole thing about her and her alter ego it was really actually pathetic. She seemed drunk or something and looked really disgusting. How about wearing just a regular dress and actually giving two shits gaga? that would shock and awe people

  31. 31

I watched but it wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. They had that that one singer singing way more than any actual singers. Thought they would have more performances. I was eager to see it for the Britney Tribute which I feel Gaga fucked up since she wouldn't let Britney get personal. I also agree that this alter ego is only around so he/she can hype up Gaga even more. Dumb bitch we know you love yourself and think your some goddess but come one, was a little much!

  32. 32

Re: locakelly – no one's ever done drag before you idiot!!! stupid idiots like you are the ones that worship the caca! the only thing she rocks at as a man or woman is looking like shit and ripping off people and congratulating herself like a psycho! BAM!

  33. 33

Ok, I hadn't watched the VMA's for YEARS until Sunday and it had NOTHING to do with Lady Gaga, Beyonce or Britney for that matter. I love Adele and was disappointed that she walked away empty handed. To me, the VMA's are a popularity contest… Katy Perry beating out Adele… REALLY??? Anyway, the only reason I watched was for The Hunger Games tailor. If it wouldn't have been released I wouldn't have watched. I can't stand Lady Gaga, she's a complete narcissists and the more attention she gets the drunker she gets off herself. Totally over rated.

  34. 34

People did not know that she was going to be 'Jo' or that Beyonce was going to announce she was pregnant. People tuned in for the reasons MTV hyped it up, the biggest reason was a tribute to Britney. Can you please blog and leave the bias out. It had little to do with her alter ego.

  35. 35

I watched the beginning of it for only a few minutes, couldn't stand lady gaga as the opening act. She was over-hyped, annoying, and confused the hell out of me, and clearly a lot of the celebrities there. Just watching the way people reacted was funny, but it was too much. I'm glad I shut it off mid-performance, just sorry I missed the Adele performance, heard she was good.

  36. 36

Re: JmeLee1111 – You are so right. When Katy Perry beats Adele, it is so not about the music!

  37. 37

Re: locakelly – actually, LOTS of people have done that before.. including annie lennox preforming at the grammys… so uhhh… yeah. just saying.

  38. 38

I think in the past years, a lot of people might've been initially turned off by specific hosts and thats why they didn't tune in. The fact that comedians weren't hosting it this year, and it was exclusively about the music, I think, really made a difference. Personally, lady GaGa annoys the hell out of me, but she is a huge pop icon right now so I just had to sit through it and know that other musical artists that I like will soon be on. (Adele ftw!)

  39. 39

Lady Gaga was ass. I watched for/to see Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Lautner :) Chris Brown was good too though.

  40. 40

OMG…it was hardly lady dipshit gaga…GO far away JO - Gaga your getting old and trying to hard.

I watched for Brit-Brit and as soon as I heard B was preggo…I didn't switch off the channel…oh except for when Jo was on. Cher did it years ago and Streisand in Yentl… wannabe

  41. 41

Re: rosebud99 – I know! I couldn't believe it! It's not about music anymore. Adel is so classy and her performance was outstanding. It's just a shame to see people act out for attention and that's what win's awards, not people with true talent.

  42. 42

So… I will credit her with the curiousity factor, but I also think the entire format change, the pre VMA show which was targeted at Disney age teens, selena bieber jonas and the hip hop cross over of kayne, jay z and bey is a huge demographic. I promise you that Jay Z and Bey have a heck of alot more credibility with the young MTV crowd… and they were laughing their ass off at the incredibly awkward moments of Joe. Plus the teenies love Britney, and Joe/Gaga pulled a move worse than Kayne did to Taylor. (What how long Britney looked at Gaga when she took the mike back… really look at her expression… that isn't respect, it is irritation and insult) On another note, gaga sang well, she was on point with her choreography so I have nothing to say about her talent, just her tired overshadowing schtick. LEAVE IT HOME NEXT TIME GAGA, JUST BE YOU

  43. 43

Re: MsJules – definitely agreed with everything! MAJOR fail this year. & no perez lady gaga didn't inspire me. i don't care that much for her & to credit her with all the views is just wrong.

  44. 44

Re: ilovejoomayun – Calm down, no need to call me an idiot. Clarification: I didn't mean EVER. I was referring to the VMAs and prime-time American TV. If you've got some predecessors to tell me about, go for it, don't just post insults to intelligence.

  45. 45

beyoncee did it ! and so the tributes!!!!!!

  46. 46

gaga as that stupid ass alterego jo would be the reason NOT to watch.

  47. 47

Re: paulineypiess – Thanks for the FYI. Yes, Annie Lennox was androgynous, but not a whole new persona apart from herself. To me, lately, Gaga's Jo seemed like a fresh approach/risk.

  48. 48

The ONLY reason why my friends and I (and most people) watched the 2011 VMA's was because of the much hyped Britney Spears Tribute (if you can call it that). You never seem to want to include or give Britney any credit. You're such an asshole!

  49. 49

Re: locakelly – insults to intelligent?! better write something intelligent first then you might not get insulted.. ! LOL!

  50. 50

Re: locakelly – Clarification: No one lately has performed as theatrically as an alter-ego of the opposite sex to the degree that Lady Gaga did as Jo Calderon on the VMAs on prime-time American TV.
I've seen drag. I've seen androgyny. She was doing theater and it was cool.

  51. 51

I tuned in for the Britney Spears tribute, which was sadly, horrible. The only silver lining, IMO, was Beyonce's performance and I didn't even know she was performing. As far as GaGa goes, she made me want to change the channel multiple times when she showed up on my t.v. screen. I don't think her man costume was necessary for the WHOLE show. The opening, maybe, but I'm still iffy on even that. So yeah, the whole reason I watched was for Britney, besides that it was blah and Beyonce saved it for me.

  52. 52

    Re: JmeLee1111
Uh…it' was the VIDEO music awards, not who was the most talented or best singer. Trust me, Adele will sweep the Grammys next year.

  53. 53

Re: JmeLee1111 – She didn't walk home empty handed. She actually won the most awards of the night, winning 4 of them. They were just not televised.

  54. 54

GAG GAG looks better as a man than as she does in real life (whether that's woman or tranny) She is not the one that brought the ratings I assure you….Britney had a huge following, and her tribute had alot to do with ratings as well.

  55. 55

    Re: Mimi the Magnificent

Couldn't have said it better myself! I use to like some of Gaga's music but now I feel like she's just being forced down my throat and I can't stand her. I definitely watched for the Britney tribute and was greatly disappointed. First off the tribute itself was weak. Liked the dancers but they could have done SO much more. Then Gaga was just being awkward and it took away the focus from Britney. And they barely gave her a chance to speak before having to introduce Beyonce. I'm not even the biggest Britney fan but I got to say I was kind of pissed. MTV that girl has done a ridiculous amount for you for many years and THAT's how you thank her? And back to Gaga….we all know your a talented songwriter and musician. So calm the eff down and just make some good music and Perez PLEASE stop pushing her in our faces.

  56. 56

so OVER Gaga. she tries way too hard and her performances aren't even good!! the ONLY one i liked was with Elton John. oh, and i knew she was REALLY a man!!!!

  57. 57

I watched b/c of Britney's well-deserved tribute and iconic presence as Queen of Pop…surely not for Gag Gag's fame-whoring self. Damn…how come she looks better as a man than as herself?

  58. 58

Duuuuuude, I tuned in to watch the performers and tributes. The Britney tribute was horrible, Amy's was alright, Adele was awesome like always, Bey's announcement was great and everything else failed. ESPECIALLY Jo/gaga. It was so damn awkward and she took up so much air time. Perez, I know you are her biggest fan, but even you have to agree sometimes her shit is questionable. Seriously. Have a mind of your own.

  59. 59

Some of those "Hip Hop Stars" should try to impersonate musicians (that would be a stretch).

  60. 60

I watched for the Britney tribute which was disappointing and for the hunger games sneak peek which was crap. I have nothing against Lady gaga but her fake alter ego was terribly annoying

  61. 61

Perez I love ya, but quite frankly, good thing I recorded the VMAS so I could fast forward through Gaga. And thats saying a lot because You and I is my favorite song of hers. Oh and how come Chris Brown got to be on stage lip synching for like 45 minutes, while they crammed Britney's tribute into a 3 minute mash up? Im embarrassed for MTV.

  62. 62

You guys are all anal. First of all did not one person pay attention to Gaga;s "Theater" monologue at all? It had a message and obviously none of you understand that. Beyonce's choice of song was amazing to say the least because someone said it wasn't and you are all wack, it's live…..it's not going to be perfect they're all still human, stuff happens not according to plan. The Amy Winehouse tribute was lovely too, good song choice. You guys expect way too much.

  63. china says – reply to this

    63

i skipped the first minutes and combined caca-appearances with toilet-breaks - so no: i don`t think i did watch because of the ugly tranny.

  64. 64

All controlled by Big Pharma and blood contracts…enjoy.

  65. 65

The VMA's used to be hip and irrevelant now it's plain dull. The Gaga/Jo deal was awkward, and many audience members looked confused or wierded out by it. I did however enjoyed Beyonce's performance and her announcing her pregnancy. The Britney tribute was short and not fitting to be honest. The lack of stars who were replaced by the reality stars hurt the show.

  66. 66

Re: CaptainSteelToe – Apparently no one could tolerate it!

  67. 67

that was so dumb. she had the acting chops of a kid actor…. you know three manerisms kids have cute baby voice puppy dog eyes and pout she has play with hair look awkward and swear. she really needs to just quit or be a bad actor on a off broadway play somewhere far far away

  68. 68

It definitely was NOT for Gaga, Perez. Her schtick is getting old and she's going to turn in Marilyn Manson soon (forgotten freak). I used to be a huge fan but now she's just SO desparate for attention. I actually turned it off when she did the Jo Calderone stuff cause it was f@#$ing weird and not funny.

I tuned in just like most everybody else for the Britney tribute!!! What a let down though - it wasn't well put together, gaga ruined her acceptance speech acting like a freak and they upstaged her with the Beyonce performance (fabulous, but Brit deserved better).

Gaga better take heed to the fact that people are getting sick of her or she is going to fade out FAST

  69. 69

this is also probably just a way to still act weird and crap but if it fails or isnt recieved well she can say oh thats just joe my alter ego and not take down the gaga name anymore.

  70. 70

Lady gaga/jo fucking sucks. she was NOT the reason people watched the vmas and she wouldnt even let brit make a speech she was a fame whore who is annoying. she should crawl back into the hole she came out of.

  71. 71

I only watched because of Adele, Brit and the Amy tribute. GaflopGa was funny at first but got old and boring after awhile.

  72. 72

I think Gaga deserves at least a lil' bit of credit. she is hated so much that people will tune in to watch the next trainwreck performance in hopes of seeing her fail miserably.

  73. 73

Re: locakelly – Perez, is that you? :O
    .
Mario, your refusal to face reality and post the crap that you do just you can continue to cling to your delusion that Caca was good on the VMAs is sad. The truth is that she's a fame-whore asshole, and you're a brainless twat.
    .
Caca sucks no matter what persona she inflicts on the world. She's getting more negative comments than ever, so here's hoping her career dies a really fast death. :D

  74. 74

its sad your so far up her ass you cant see that she/he it whatever the fuck she was ruined brits speech and honestly it was ruder than what kayne did to taylor.

  75. 75

GaGa was fabulous. This year's VMA's were the worst ever! Only 4 or 5 REAL music talents performed, the rest was crap! Glad I DVR'd it because I fast forwarded through majority of that nasty stuff

  76. 76

I sure in the hell didn't watch it to see Lady CaCa - I watched it to see Adele and Jessie J. Plus, I can't forget Brit and Niki.

  77. 77

GAGA is it people….has a draw like no other person….She is an artist and a performer…she is just too much for much of America or the haters…you want vanilla and boring there is plenty of that in this world…GAGA is wonderful and exciting…The Britney and Gaga exchange was scripted…so haters stop saying she "stole Britney's moment"….all was planned….Also, let's face it- GAGA will always be the superstar, no matter who she is standing next too..especially a simple and no-talent like Britney…

  78. 78

Re: locakelly – it was definitely theater. which i will give her credit for.

However she didn't do it for her love of theater. she didn't do it for her monsters. she did it because she wants people to leave 77+ comments talking about her ass whether it's good or bad.

i think that if you're talented MUSICALLY, not in music theater, mind you, just musically, performance is important, but not constant circus acts for attention. just sing. she has the voice, she doesn't need all the extra. and i'm just tired of people acting. there are so many good artists that get ignored because of attention seeking people who because they were bullied in high school feel they need to stand up and be the voice for everyone. 90% of the time she tries to do something like that it turns into the gaga show and she just talks about herself. i used to like her, even the monster ball i appreciated her talent. but this… this was a wreck. and it took away from the tributes to britney and amy and it took away the respect i once had for her VOICE. not her stage show, her actual VOICE.

  79. 79

I hate to say it, but I am a Gaga fan and I was not crazy about her performance. I think dramatization shit is so cheesy. Keep it about the musik!!! Gaga was the ONLY reason I watched and I was dissapointed.

  80. 80

It is obvious that viewers tuned in to watch various people. It was a combo of all the performers that brought in the numbers. Personally, the moment I enjoyed most was Bruno Mars' tribute to Amy Winehouse.

  81. 81

Re: I Heart Britney – You are fucking retarded if you believe that.

  82. 82

    Re: sanfran1 – Delusional bitch!!

  83. 83

Gaga may be it for some, but it may just be that you want it too bad. Her approach is empty, her message has been corrupted by the image. You can credit some of her monsters for that… wanting so badly to believe in something can leave you blind to the reality, and you are in fact hurting Gaga's understanding of her own image and message. People closest to her won't give her real feedback, people profiting off of her will push her further, and everyone will whisper behind her back that she jumped the shark.

Next time come out in a simple clean and pure version (hello did you see Adele? Simple and pure talent) no schtick necessary. People who are different, sexuality or otherwise are not monsters, there is no need to embrace a wall that is built up to fight the status quo.

  84. 84

Re: StinkyPerez – I hope you go with her. looser. Think it's fucking HILARIOUS that you dumb ass peeps think viewers tuned in only for the Brittany thing. UM HELLO, B Spears is about as relovant to the musik bizz as tits on a boar. LONG LIVE GAGA AND WIERDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! normal is fucking lame and BORING. you're L A M E stinky!! (and prolly boring as hell too)

  85. 85

or just maybe it might be the fact it was surposely a tribute show to BRITNEY SPEARS that more people tuned in?

  86. 86

Re: andysgrrl – Call us when you grow up… weird comes in all shapes and sizes, for me people who put on costumes to show how weird they are, are in fact mainstream posers.

  87. 87

    Re: momofan
You're comparing it to Barbra Streisand in Yentl? Two different concepts, two different formats, and Julie Andrews did male drag and so did Marlene Dietrich…there's no point here. What is this deal about, "it's been done before?" You think Britney, Adele, or Beyonce haven't done anything that hasn't been done before? If something has been done before, is it so sacred that it can't be ever done again? How boring that would be?

  88. 88

I only watched to see the Britney Spears Tribute, which was lame
    she deserved so much better.
but lady shim ruined the show for me

  89. 89

Re: locakelly – Another delusional virgin Gaga fan. The only one's in the crowd cheering were your fellow virgins, her peers just sat there shaking their heads looking annoyed and bored.

  90. 90

It was slow torture watching that Joe Calderone debacle. Gag.

  91. 91

The only reason i watched was to see the legendary MISS BRITNEY FCKIN SPEARS!!!!!!!!!
LADY CACA WAS SUCH A TRAINWRECK….
AND IM HAPPY FOR BEYONCE THAT MEANS SHE WILL TAKE A 5 YEAR BREAK!!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  92. 92

Re: sanfran1 – Another delusional gay virgin who can't accept the fact Gaga is the most over-hyped and hated entertainer on the planet. You call everyone who disses Gaga hateful, unhappy and with no lives, then in the next breath insult Britney. You're the typical Gaga fan, you keep telling everyone she's all about love, inspiration and acceptance but then you post how much you hate certain other singers. Is this what your precious GaFlop taught you? You're as phony as your idol.

  93. 93

Re: sanfran1 – i think PART of it was scripted. but i think gaga over spoke her part, which is why everyone looked kind of annoyed, including britney.

i'm not a huge fan of either of them bitches, but here's the thing, if you love gaga so much don't diss britney… they're in the same classification of pop music AND may i add, miss gaga (mr calderone?) herself claimed her as an inspiration to herself last night and declared how she liked her.. so l ike ummm… insulting one because people are insulting someone you like is not gonna help get your point across any better.

  94. 94

Re: andysgrrl – I hate to say it but your a HYPOCRITE!! Shut the fuck up!!

  95. 95

Re: andysgrrl – What's really sad is that you obviously dropped out of school…….your parents must be so very proud - being "weird" does not have to equal stupidity and illiteracy my dear grammatically challenged monkey.

  96. 96

Re: locakelly – no one has ever done that?? really?? annie lennox did it in 1984 at the grammys.

  97. 97

Re: rosebud99 – remember the vmas is not the grammys. its VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS they judge on the video and well on music as well. but mostly video.

  98. 98

Of course Lady Gaga helped ratings and so did Beyonce and Britney and Adele. The difference is why they boosted ratings. Lady Gaga and Britney have the most loyal core fan base. Gaga fans have come to expect/crave flawless theatrical performances. Britney fans have to deal with whatever they can get from her.
