HBO Is Promoting Boardwalk Empire in The Coolest. Way. Ever.

| Filed under: TV NewsBusiness Blitz

boardwalk empire train coming soon

Let's just hope that Paz de la Huerta doesn't board this train and cause trouble! LOLz.

Check out the photo (above) of what is probably the COOLEST advertisement ever: An authentic 1920s subway train, which will be running in NYC this September to promote the upcoming season of HBO's Boardwalk Empire!

Not only will this vintage train be running throughout Sept, but "brand ambassadors" will hand out complimentary MetroCards during the show's premiere weekend on the 25th! Awesome!

Will U ride the Boardwalk Empire train in NYC this month? Are U excited for the show's second season?

Is that a photo of a 1920 train because the trains still look like that in NYC. Some may have the seats that are horizontal also, but many look exactly like that picture.

  2. 2

Who gives a shit. Atlantic City does not have a subway system so it has nothing to due with the show. If you want to see old subway cars go to the New York Transit Museum on Brooklyn.

  3. 3

NYC transit system actually brings back old trains during some holiday seasons as well. THis wouldn't be the first time, except now HBO is footing the bill.

  4. 4

So when this 'vintage train' gets tagged by some kid trying to look cool then what? Are the tax payers footing the clean up bill too?

Boardwalk Empire is the best show on TV right now, and Paz de la Huerta and Michael Pitt are totally hot! It truly puts True Blood to shame, I know it's like comparing apples and oranges, but to answer your question. Yes I would ride that train! What a cool, innovative idea from a cool, innovative show!
