We get why she would be upset about this.
The mother of Taylor Armstrong's late husband Russell Armstrong has expressed how upset she is that Bravo will still be airing the upcoming season on Sept. 5.
The premiere episode has been edited and will include taped commentary from the other housewives on the show.
Mom John Ann Hotchkiss says:
"When I was informed of this, I thought, 'I hope Bravo will take the high road and keep it tasteful.' Let's not murder my son twice.
I began to notice things starting to fray when the television thing came into being, and I was very concerned. What bothered me the most was. . .he would be bashed by some of the other castmembers, especially Lisa [Vanderpump], who is a beautiful lady, and I just couldn't understand why she would be so unkind to him. . .The program itself really brought him down."
President of Bravo Media Frances Berwick released a statement about how the show will addressing Russell's death:
"Given that these episodes were filmed months ago, the producers of the show taped a brief interview this week with several of the cast members to introduce the premiere. Re-editing of the episodes is still underway. partnered with the Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. (EIC) to raise awareness about suicide prevention."
Basically, it's a lose-lose situation.
We feel for Russell's mother and we can only imagine the pain she is feeling right now.
We're hoping that Bravo really does keep things respectful.
