Hey, remember when Matt Damon told us Steven Soderbergh was retiring from Hollywood to focus more on painting?
Then you might also remember how Steven fired back at Matt, insisting he's "as discreet as a fourteen year old girl" with "the inability to keep a drunken conversation from growing out of proportion."
Welp! Looks like Matt was right!
Months down the road, the rumors are found to be true — one of our favorite directors is done creating cinematic masterpieces in favor of ones you can do with a brush.
The man behind the Oceans trilogy and the upcoming Contagion confirms:
I'm interested in exploring another art form while I have the time and ability to do so. [But] I'll be the first person to say if I can't be any good at it and run out of money I'll be back making another Oceans movie.
Why, Steven?! Why!? Sigh.
Any bets on how long this lasts? Any taker??
