Actually, it means her character gets to live to see Winter. If you watch the show, you would know that each show season = one season during the course of the year.

eh it's decent. but i don't think it's better than US of Tara.

While this series tries to be clever and wry, it plays with a subject that has literally broken the hearts of so many people. For this reason I have had a tough time watching it. The bottom 'unfunny' line is this: someone with a diagnosis of stage-four cancer is not likely to last three 'seasons.' And what's this bull**** about kicking cancer's ass? It's a disease, not an opponent in the ring. People I know who have died of cancer have time and time again expressed to me their intense aversion to this terminology.

I love this show! When season 1 1st aired I was iffy on watching it because both of my parents battled cancer. I watched the 1st episode and fell in love! Laura Linney does an awesome job! And I strongly disagree with some of the other comments here. 1st both of my parents died of cancer, and I witnessed 1st hand what it does to the patient and their loved ones around them. 2nd, If you have watched season 2, you would see that Cathy, Laura's character is in a clinical trial which is actually working for her, however her friend who is also stage 4 and is in the same clinical trial, it's not. So in this season we're seeing both sides of the fight against cancer working and not working, so it's pretty spot on, and makes you laugh and cry all in one episode. Woot!
