Poor, poor Kourt.
Now, reports are coming out that Disick knows what he's doing, and how to make it better. What remains though, is whether he can actually do that.
The source says of Disick:
Sting is writing a new musical called The Last Ship, which kinda sounds like a horror movie. Wait, no, that was Ghost Ship. Whatever!
Here's a bit about it, but there is NO official synopsis yet. Bummer:
The Last Ship features music and lyrics written by Sting and a book by Yorkey, who will direct the production, according to a casting breakdown being sent around. No official synopsis was provided, though the character descriptions indicate that the production is set in the city of Newcastle in the 1980s.
Lead character Gideon is said to be a "charismatic, charming, cynical, worldly-wise" man in his thirties, who is "quick to buy a round or throw a fist" but "slow to open his heart." He is a Newcastle native. The Last Ship is in early stages, in a "throw it up against the wall and see what sticks" phase.
"Sting's first foray into writing for musical theater so we wanted to start having him meet actors and hear them sing at the earliest possible point."
The good news is that it will probably have brand new Sting music, instead of rehashing his catalogue. New Sting?? Yes please!
Apparently he's got like 20-24 of them ready to go, too!
Can't wait to hear more about it!
