For the first time ever you can now get Aerosmith's rad back catalogue in digital for on iTunes!
The deal was reportedly worth millions, too, so people best be into buying it!
On Tuesday, Aerosmith’s Columbia Records catalog became available on iTunes, with the collection including 10 albums from 1973-1987. Fans could pre-order classics such as Aerosmith (1973), Toys in the Attic (1975) and Rocks (1976) beginning Aug. 25, with the official release set for Sept. 6.
The agreement between Apple and Columbia follows in the footsteps of an earlier deal between the retailer and The Beatles' label EMI in Nov. 2010. According to the New York Post, Aerosmith will pull in millions from the partnership.
This was an extremely smart move on Aerosmith's part, but we can't help but to think this announcement is a mere whimper when it comes to when iTunes dropped the Beatles catalogue on the world!
Who's next? We'd like to see some N*Sync B-sides, right??
