Same Old Story! Wesley Snipes Will Stay In Jail After Court Denies His Appeal!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooFilm FlickersLegal MattersSad SadWesley Snipes

wesley snipes appeal denied again

This is truly becoming a tale as old as time!

To recap, Wesley Snipes was convicted in 2008 on tax evasion charges, and he was sentenced to three years in federal minimum security prison, beginning in December 2010.

Then, he tried to file an appeal requesting a new trial with the U.S. Supreme Court back in December…but he was denied.

Now, the Blade/Major League actor has once again tried to appeal his prison sentence, but the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta rejected his request.

This kind of reminds us of the whole Phil Spector thing…but on a much less extreme scale!

Do U think Wesley Snipes has served enough time? Or should he stay in jail???

Stay in jail and serve your time Wesley. Next time, just pay your taxes like everyone else!

  2. 2

Hell yes he should stay in jail. The position he took regarding taxes is criminal. The fact he's famous shouldn't matter.

  3. 3

Let him stay in jail. Celebs shouldn't be exempt from paying their taxes.

Given the state of the economy and his earning potential. Let him out on the condition he pays everything back plus 20 million in penalties. Generate some tax revenue and save the cost of incarcerating a non violent offender.

Re: Enrico Palazzo – Unfortunately Snipes has shown no intention of paying his taxes without a fight. those fights aren't free. And he didn't just neglect to pay. He committed a felony. Letting him out would show preference. Should we let Bernie Madoff out because he has earning potential? He's a non-violent offender. If the cost of incarcerating him bothers you, let's have him pay for it.

only if he was a white girl who either molested high school boys and claim to be bi-polar, killed her baby, or steal, do meth, and repeatedly violates court orders then he wouldn't have went to jail at all.

it's is a shame that irs lands you in jail but prostitution, drugs, putting a knife to someone etccc gets a slap on the hand and back to rehab how many times while each of there things get more dangerous to others because they don't go to prision. our law makers need to make the law fair it should be based on who you are or how much you have. there is tooo many above the law out there when us simple folk get the shaft

I agree with Kat@123 why is it that if you have money you can get away with everything and I mean everything from stealing to not paying taxes, there are sooo many celeb. who owes IRS and it is not because they don't have the money no they think it is ok for them, Wesley should stay in jail till he has paid ( I mean paid not in jailtime either ). and hopefully it will show the rest of them what could happend to them if they don't pay up !!

Wesley has the time to get an accounting degree. No more tax troubles, ever.
