The response to our new book has been overwhelming!

We were very nervous about how The Boy With Pink Hair would be received, but it's been so heartwarming to see that it embraced with welcoming hands (buying the book)!

And, we've gotten some amazing quotes from a very eclectic group of celebrities, who read the book and love it too!

Here's what they have to say:

"I wish, when I was young, I had a book as touching and beautiful as this to teach me about the journey of self-acceptance." - Lady GaGa

"When I was little my mother said to me, 'Cher, different is just another word for special.' My mother was right and so is Perez. This is an adorable tale full of whimsy and meaning!" - Cher

"A story that will resonate with any child who has ever felt weird or different. (It's a) wonderful way to tell our children it's important to celebrate each other's differences and the things that make each child unique and special." - Gloria Estefan

"…A beautiful story about dignity, self-esteem, and the importance of parents' unconditional love. The social healing process begins when we focus on these values when raising our children." - Ricky Martin

"… A precious little story about being special, being accepting, understanding, tolerant and above all saying it's okay to be different." - Dolly Parton

"Whether it's pink hair or a little individuality, everybody has the right to be who they are, no matter what others say. " - Selena Gomez

Who the hell cares what dumb-ass celebs say about your crappy book? The whole thing is just a ploy so you can go all pedo on little boys.

  2. 2

Why no mention of the real reviews on Amazon.

  3. 3

Re: Pubic_Scalp_child_bullier – I looked at those reviews and found them to be similar to the comments about Perez - love or hate - no in between, and therefore it is safe to surmise that those reviews may not be objective. I have not read the book, but if this book makes even one child feel better about themselves, then it is a success.

  4. 4

"dignity???" "self esteem" - oh that's rich. *snort*

  5. 5

ricky martin?! lmfao!! bet you've got some major dirt on him and he was forced to give you a blurb!! u should have blackmailed someone more relevant!! like anderson filled with loads of cum in his pooper shooter cooper!! :-)

  6. 6

    Bitch, please.

  7. 7

All gay right advocates? How much did you pay them? You are a joke, if anything that book should be handed out on what you can become if you bully. You bully celebs everyday, who the hell are you to do something about bullying? BTW, I am totally for gay rights, but stop, you are one of those people that give gay a bad name. It is a shame cause homosexuals have rightly come so far and you piss me off with your gay crap. Stop making such a BFD about everything related gay and maybe they can rightly progress to what they deserve.

  8. 8

Wow none from real people…..being that all you have to do is PAY a celebrity it is no wonder…………

  9. Miky says – reply to this

    9

    Obviosuly meee!!! :P

  10. 10

And if a child book they didn't grow up with impacts them that much, they probably aren't the best to give reviews.

I like this review by J.Cooper on amazon best:

I find this book ironic, considering who wrote it. This is the same guy who publicly lambasted and tried to ruin the life of Carrie Prejean, solely because she dared to have a different opinion than him. The same guy who claims to demand equality for the gay community, but insulted will.i.am with a word that is demeaning and offensive to all gay people. The same guy who insulted Adam Sandler's infant daughter by calling her fat and ugly. The same guy who told Britney Spears to kill herself while she was in the middle of a very public mental meltdown. The same guy who badmouthed Amy Winehouse for years, but when she died he pretended they were best friends so he could exploit her death for page hits. The same guy who gave unflattering and bullying nicknames to Miley Cyrus, Rumer Willis, Jennifer Aniston, and many others. The same guy who is still passive-aggressively bullying Lindsay Lohan (another public figure who appears to be in the middle of a meltdown) on his website.

Parents, is *THIS* the guy you want teaching *your* children about tolerance and equality? If anything, I would use Perez Hilton's behavior as an example to my kids of what *not* to be. Yes, I know that Perez has claimed he has reformed, but as the old saying goes, a leopard never changes it spots.

As other reviewers have noted, if Perez was really sincere in his claims about turning over a new leaf, he should have published this under his legal name. If he had, this book might have been taken more seriously and I believe that more people would have been inclined to give it more of a chance. Publishing it as "Perez Hilton" makes it appear like he's riding a bandwagon and cashing in instead of writing this from the heart.

I do admit I feel bad for Jen Hill, though. Her talent is wasted on this book that not many will read because it has the name of Perez Hilton attached to it. I wish her all the best, and I sincerely hope she gets many other opportunities to shine. As for the book itself, it has a nice message, I won't deny that, but the message is overshadowed and contradicted by the very public antics of the author.

Also, how is there already 4 used books for sale on amazon? Didn't this book just come out and who gives back children books unless their really bad?

One last thing, when you talk about yourself, everyone trashes you. How many times do you have to post about yourself till you realize people hate you and just want celeb gossip?

  14. 14

Re: xocandii – Great post! Thank you!

  15. 15

Re: xocandii – *Applause* no kidding huh? lol!

  16. 16

Congratulations, Prez. Looks like you received some legitimate positive reviews.

  17. 17

cher and gaga are full force begging for whatever positive publicity they can get about this new single since all early reports are predicting a flop… cher needs something good since Burlesque flopped and we all know what happened to lady gaga's 'epic' songs from her recent not-as-good-as-her-first cd…. in return for their glowing review, news about the new single will be posted until our eyes fall out of our heads…. gloria estefan is already using perez to promote her upcoming cd… ricky martin spent whatever time he was a legitimate celebrity outright DENYING his own homosexuality - so now we care that he supports this book?? selena gomez - yawn…. maybe mario should spend some of his time practicing what he preaches before he tries to sell his ideas to children. I believe there is an actual post where he rips Christina Aguilera to shreds because her hair is 'pink' in the video for You Lost Me… hypocrite.

  18. 18

LOL shameless aren't you fat boy. Of course they are gonna say nice things about it. Stupid celebrities. They wouldn't want to offend anyone now would they? How about getting some reviews from someone in the industry that really matters. Transparent azz kissing.

  19. 19

Re: xocandii – words of wisdom

  20. 20

    Monarch slaves opinions don't count.

  21. 21

wow…all people you put on here and say nice things about.

    curiously you didnt mention sales.

a gay scumbag bully who wants to write childrens books. what ass bought that from you…someone else you trade favors with for sure.

  22. 22

apparently it is only okay to be a BOY with pink hair. this is perez hiltons post regarding Xtina when she had a pink hue to her hair for the You Lost Me Video:

Good lord, what the hell is she thinking?! It's HIDEOUS! Check out this video of FailTina on the set of her latest music video - for her second single You Lost Me - with this absolutely FUG new hair! What the eff color is THAT? Salmon? Or maybe just the color of your poop when you drink too much Pepto Bismol! Let's all pray that this is just some stoopid look for her music video! Fail, fail, and fail! Thoughts??

  23. 23

I may read it but don't think I would have my kids or any kids for that matter to read it. Don't want pervert to teach my kids or any other kids about morals and self acceptance who has a warped mind.

  24. 24

Anyway good luck to your book although your book may only be popular with the adults and the gay community.

  25. 25

Wow, Perez more than anything I applaud you for putting up with such unconscionable vituperation, day after day from the Michele Bachman Hate-o-Rade Crew here ! Don't you people have a life that involves something besides posting the same tedious & unimaginative insults on EVERY post here?!? It's really boring, and glaringly obvious that each Hater here is just miserable, lonely and justifiably unloved. Perez, I think such glowing endorsements from such positive & fabulous icons like Dolly Parton & Gloria Estefan are W O N D E R F U L !!! Be proud of all that you have accomplished personally & professionally!! You've come a LONG way from the "Coffee Shop Days"! Mwah !

  26. 26

I would like to thank Mario for his role in unmasking the hypocrite Carrie Prejean for the fraud that she was. Being nice is one thing, however, you have to always fight irrational prejudice for personal gain. Joe Francis would not even want her.

  27. 27

I wouldn't doubt it if those comments were actually about other books.

  28. 28

Regarding the Amazon reviews. If you discount the hate reviews by those that did not read the book but reviewed it as an avenue to bash Perez it got EXCELLENT reviews. Very positive reviews.

  29. 29

See, I also think that if he were really serious about turning over a new leaf, he would have used his given name but instead it's looking like he is just trying to make himself mucho famous. I'm also not denying the message is good but I also don't think Mario up there is the one that should be spreading it.

  30. 30

I wouldn't pay a dime for this book. The only kind of "different" that Perez embraces is that which makes HIM different. How could any celebrity endorse the person that spews so much hatred on a daily basis? I wish somebody in Hollywood would grow some balls and stand up to this hypocrite!

  31. 31

These are all gay friendly celebs you've hand picked and asked to write something. This bunch is not indicative of what the public thinks, they are a selected bunch whose opinions are being spun to suit your agenda. Like everything else you do, it's phony and bullshit. We're not stupid (well, maybe Gaga fans would fall for it).

  32. 32

Those who remember me or anyone else in this blog for that matter, we must have said something that hit the spot or you wouldn't have even take notice. But none the less, let's get real. Who would in the right mind introduced them to their child an author who writes tabloids. I rather read to my child Roald Dahl.

  33. 33

I mean Perez, you should have known by now you are not really a very good role model. So writing children books ain't your thing.

  34. 34

@ Hilton Is A Self-Sucker Ya. Agree. If they refused, don't know what cockamania stuff will Perez start lashing at these. I suddenly have a epiphany. Was it because Perez thought of writing children novels which made him stop framing those celebrities with hate cause it will make him looked bad. I wonder…hmmm

  35. 35

How coincidental that all these celebs are the same ones that perez constantly only posts the good things about on his blog… :) Hmm Geez I wonder why they in turn would say something nice.. oh wait- no i don't.

  36. 36

i laughed at how stupid this is lol

im gonna go into an in-depth advertisement of my book on my site and your gonna care.

  37. 37

i laugehd when i saw this

and now an in depth advertisement on my book on my site! look what all the stars havto say about it, BUY IT NOW!

  38. 38

What is great is that you are so impartial when it comes to each and everyone of these people. It never at all seems like your paid to over promote them. They must have done this out of the goodness of their hearts.

  39. 39

Alright, how much did you pay them?

  40. 40

Ever heard of a little movie called, "The Boy with Green Hair"??? You suck

  41. 41

You are truly one of the worst role models anyone - and especially children - could possibly ever have. I mean in complete seriousness.

  42. 42

Re: rayrayrayray – What a great show of irony.

  43. 43

i doubt any of these people would have boughten and reviewed your book had you not sent it to them for free. and notice they are all your "friends" you kiss ass to

  44. 44

Re: rickraton – Just like what Perez does in the comments here, most of the positive comments were created by Perez and his team for the sole purpose of shilling this book. They're also patrolling the page and are actively downvoting all of the negative reviews that call Perez out on his douchebaggery and are upvoting all the five star ones, regardless of their quality.

  45. 45

the funny thing is all these endorsements of this book about being yourself are from people who have dedicated their lives to being whatever other people want for outward material trappings

  46. 46

    are u kidding me

    carrie prejean

    — perez asked her a simple qs then she ruined her own career dont be blaming perez !!!

  47. 47

also perez has a very loving mother she adores him and shows him support and love not all of us had that which i thinks help to succeed no matter who u are …kudos to momma perez

  48. 48

Perez, why not ask REAL celebs what they think, insted of this washed, forgotten who? celebs…

  49. 49

The book is actually good…as toilet paper

  50. 50

Re: xocandii – How does that have anything to do with the book? Don't lambaste the work based on the artist.
