Katie Holmes Opens Up About A Possible Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark 2!

| Filed under: Film FlickersKatie Holmes

Ooh! Inneresting!

Katie Holmes recently released her first flick in quite some time, the Guillermo del Toro produced Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, and during a recent interview, touched upon the somewhat ambiguous ending - and what that would mean for a possible sequel!

She revealed:

"We never did discuss that, but now I’m wondering. I want to know what Guillermo’s thinking – he’s got so many amazing ideas, so I don’t know."

There certainly was a door left open at the end for more films to come, but by the same token, we're not sure if it it's really necessary!

Either way, we're thrilled that Katie is once again focusing on her career and less on being a withered shell of herself attached to Tom Cruise, so keep up the good work, gurl!

You did a great job in this one!

Haven't seen the movie, but Katie Holmes is a horrible actress. She's emotionless, which creates no depth to her characters. And she has dead eyes…there's nothing at all exciting about her.

I think one will be more than enough

Katie Holmes an "ACTRESS"; the only "ACTING she does is pretending to be the wife of that WIENER-SITTING & PICKLE-SUCKING husband & pretending Tom Cruise is the father of her 1/2 ASIAN CHILD Suri…..

I actually enjoyed the movie. I don't think they should make a sequel though, it's better as a stand alone film.

I thought this movie was GREAT! I saw it with my mom and we were both shittin' bricks! ;) Seriously though, GREAT scary movie…hadn't seen one that got me that at the edge of my seat in a while! We loved Katie in it too…at first I was saying the opposite but REALLY liked her!!! I'd see the 2nd one for sure! Sounds very eerie!

Did anyone even see the first one?

The film is creepy and Holmes gives a solid performance. The ending is NOT ambiguous. Any viewer with a lick of sense knows what happened to that character.

It was IK, she was adequate, but its not worthy of a sequel.

LOVED the original from my childhood, just as Guillermo did. This new one is different but you can tell he made it for kids who hopefully will get to see it and be spooked as he was spooked as a child! This original made him want to make movies which is so cool to know! The original is a made for TV film that when we were kids we only saw it ONCE yet it affected us so much. Years later we'd be lucky to see it rebroadcast. No VCR's or DVRs back then folks!! The new one lacks looking at it from an adults point of view, but if you watch, look at it with a child's mind and it's sooooo scary!!
