Antisemite Mel Gibson Signed On To Produce AND Direct A Story About A Jewish Hero! No Joke!!!

Oh, there are so many things to say, so little time. Alright then, the basics…

Despite his long-standing tumultuous relationship with the Jewish community, Mel Gibson has been linked to a WB project that will tell the story of Jewish hero Judah Maccabee. At this point, nothing has been inked, but it is the studios hope that Mel will agree to not only produce the movie, but also direct it.

Now, from what we understand, it has been on of Mel career aspirations to helm a film about the man and the family that to led the Jewish revolt against the Greek-Syrian armies B.C., but given the "colorful metaphors" Mel's used in the past to describe people of the Jewish faith, we're surprised the studio is going along with it.

Still, if he can prove himself to be a changed man and truly sorry for his sins of the past, perhaps this is the jumping off point for him to reignite his career. Personally, we'd rather see him in The Expendables 2.

What do U think?

Do you remember those conjoined twins from Guatemala? Mel Gibson paid for them to be separated, and it was just recently that the family mad ethat news public. Mel never sought any publicity for it, or even let it be known that he had anything to do with it. Despite his faults, he is still a good man. I'm not going to brand him an anti-semite because of the things he said when he was drunk. People say stupid things when they are drunk, and sometimes racist things come out. He is clearly trying to make amends, and I applaud him for making this movie.

Mario, I think it's very interesting how you who preach equality for all and resist labels for gays insist on calling Mel Gibson an anti-Semite. No matter what his beliefs are, Mel Gibson does a lot of good with his time and his money, and that's more than YOU can say, you parasitical turd. I don't care what anyone says about Gibson; he's a fine actor, a great director, and tells one hell of a story. So you can take your labels and stick them up your nasty ass, Perez.

Interesting that Perez Hilton expects everyone to believe he wants to change and yet turns up his nose at anyone elses attempts. Okay, we all know Mel Gibson said some horrendous stuff, personally I think he is a man who needs help and hopefully is getting it. I think this is a good thing, look blacklisting and hatred doesnt change people it only serves to renforce some of the dark ideas they have about human kind. Education ,compassion and understanding overcomes bigotry, look at the bridges which have been built between communities in Northern Ireland , it came slowly through peace and understanding, not hatred and is still an ongoing process. It just takes more patience and the higher ground and is the lesss attractive option than the instant gratification of venom and hatred.Regardless of anything else, he is a talented man and knows his craft. I hope this film helps Mel Gibson understand a race of people he has derided and helps put to put to bed his rediculous predjudices, and I hope the jewish community will see a journey out of anti semitism and into respect and appreciation and in turn show their support for any positive developments. That is how progress between people, countries and cultures developes, it sure as hell never came out of hatred and revenge and cynicism.

I watched the movie "The Bounty" the other day. Suddenly all my negative feelings for Mel disappeared. He's incredibly hot in that movie but it was 1984. Excellent movie.

Re: Demode – I've never said any racist things while under the influence/drugged up…Drunk mind speaks sober thoughts :/

I'm Jewish and I don't really care. He said a nasty word when he was drunk, that's all. The true storyline behind Passion of the Christ was an anti-Semitic story to begin with and it was probably poor judgment to even attempt to translate it into film. He does do a lot of good things without asking for anything in return or any publicity. I think his behavior to women is way more troubling than his alleged feelings about Jews. And calling someone a racial slur is hardly a sin. Stop being so silly and dramatic.

Obviously, Mel is not the blacklisted pariah everyone has been led to believe …

Mario, give him a break! Sure he's done horrible things when he was drunk in the past but it's time to move on now.

  9. 9

Good for you Perez for calling him out on his anti-Semitism!!! And let's not ever forget or try to excuse his behavior either. I don't care what state of mind he was in (drunk, drugs, whatever) his comments were disgusting and horrible… He has a repeated history of this sort of thing, and it's absurd that he will be producing and directing this film.

Re: yeez – lol "alleged feeling about Jews" ?? He has made his feelings pretty clear manyyy times, straight from his own mouth.

  11. 11

I don't believe that people deserve to be punished forever for the things they say. I believe that Mel Gibson is a flawed man, as we all are flawed, and that he has been trying to make amends. He does a wonderful job telling stories, and I hope that this film is the catalyst for change in his own life and to help the public change its perception about him.

I think people need to stop bitching. Jews love to keep playing the victim card..Notice how every year they are releasing some type of holocaust thing. They act as if they were the only people that were mindlessly slaughtered. Please. Get over it. Jews control the media and entertainment industry..An industry that makes billions.

That said, people need to get the F over crap. He was babbling while heavily intoxicated not knowing wtf he was saying. People are so damn uptight and sensitive..Worst part is we are just raising our kids to expect they are special and that their feelings should never get hurt.

  13. 13

Re: NookiesWA – I totally agree with you. I think pretty much everybody love to play the victim and judge and condemn others, while forgetting what they did in the past. Nobody has the right to judge anybody. And, yes, Mel shouldn't have said what he said.

id like to you always introduced as Gay Bully Perez Hilton like you introduce him. but we know since hes into god you hate him

  15. 15

Im not sure if hes a genuine anti-semite or just banters anto-semetic terms around when drunk. However, sounds to me like making this film could be a form of repentence to the Jewish community.

  16. 16

Re: Pretty Boys Are Forever – I had, and I wasnt even drunk or drugged, just very angry at a fictional show I was watching. Haha…. I didnt even mean it. I guess it happens sometimes.

Having an issue with some Jewish people regarding his own Passion of the Christ doesn't make him a damn anti-semite. It's a tar and feather job from the get-go all because he didn't want to make his movie the way they wanted him to, and that's wrong.

You should take this down. Stating that Mel is or ever was an anti-semite is on very shaky ground. The whole past thing sounded like it was a big difference of opinion on a movie vision that pushed Mel to anger, because he's a self-made man who prefers the freedom and right to present his own crafted vision.

  19. 19

wow how soon everyone forgets. not only has this man repeatedly made anti-semetic comments, he also beat the mother of his child and told her she should be gang raped by a group of n-words. so you can add misogynist, racist and wife beater to the list. But hey he was drunk you know give him a pass. we all say stupid things when we're drunk right. your all idiots. I bet if he'd run someone over and killed them you would all have a different opinion of this "great storyteller" or did you morons forget that he was arrested for driving drunk when he made those anti semetic statments. jackasses
